    Welcome Guest!

Young rollers v old rollers. Huge difference

Past 40 here. Rolling is like church for me. I lovethe feeling and try to carry it forward in everyday life. Plus the visuals kick ass!
I do come across a lot of younger people, not all but many, who are constantly telling me how "totaly wasted" they are on E, usually with other drugs involved. Not a statemnt of fact, just my personal experience.

i think that where you come from also affects the way you roll.
my first time was back in the states with my friends, and we just went to a chill party and
hung out and it was a great time.

and the next month i live in england and i went to a sick drum and bass and electro club
and that was a completely different experience.
im a "youngster" but i dont think age affects how you roll
altho i m pretty sure back in the day the pills were a lot stronger and werent laced with a bunch of shit.

For me, if I can find it, cool, I might get a couple, if not, I'm not stressing about it 'cuz I've already been to enough parties to know they're gonna be a good time in general.

They're just a cherry on top of the cake if I can find them.
Great outlook RRV! Thanks for sharing it.

I am the same way nowadays. If the opportunity happens then great! If not - no worries... And Peyote is right - past stuff is different - in the late 80s (when I first got a hold of some) - is so different than what is out there today. But I never have wanted to get to messed up - want to have fun with it - not just sit around all f'd up. But there have always been peeps that wanted to do that.

I'm 17 and i'll be the first to admit it:

I take E to get wasted.
I take E to get fucking GONE, way away from reality.
I take E to make every day problems disappear for awhile.
I take E because it's fun.

Not saying I haven't had inspiring, profound moments on it. The group of friends I hang out with is as close as we are because of something that happened the first time we ever rolled together. We always have great conversations while rolling, and we always bond with new people.

But the majority of the time, we pop our pills, smoke a fuckload of tree, get sloppy drunk, eat some shrooms, just load up and space out.

After the shit we pull together in the week, it feels nice to not know if you even exist or not for a little bit. It's almost therapeutic.

I've never taken E at a rave or a big party or anything, it's usually about 5-20 of us all just getting smashed at the end of the week, then we pass out, wake up, relax the next day, smoke a couple blunts, drink a couple beers, just chill, wake up sunday morning and get back to work.

I've only taken ecstasy in a club/rave setting. I love it. I love the music. I love the group atmosphere, everybody just jamming to great music as the DJ takes you higher and higher. What's wrong about liking that? You can definitely bond at a club when dancing with all your friends, and maybe with that girl you've had your eye on. Why am I accused of misusing/abusing a drug just because I use it to experience different things. Why does it matter?

I think the issue is not so much that people who take it in social settings are incapable of seeing the therapeutic, bonding side of it, but that it is less likely to be viewed that way in those settings. Nothing is absolute, of course- there are people in the clubs/raves having spiritual experiences, just like there are people sitting at home completely wasted on it- the only difference is that being in a highly social setting like that makes it harder to capitalize on the personal, introspective side of the drug.
Even though I have never taken MDMA at anything resembling a club/party/rave, I would not turn down the opportunity to attend a rave (if I had the chance) somewhere in Europe on MDMA- however given that it would be a one time thing it just helps reaffirm that MDMA has a special place in my heart as a drug that is not to be taken too lightly or abused.
