Could anyone tell my how many percent the skin is and how many percent the flesh is, cuz only the flesh contains mescaline content right?

So if I have a peyote with a weight of 700grams about how many grams is the flesh?

I don't understand what it is you're asking. Correct, you want the flesh not the skin most of the time. However, are you asking us to let you know, for instance, how much out of the 700 grams of cacti you have is skin?

Because it doesn't really matter. Its probably not more than a couple grams. Why does it matter regardless...?

Are you talking about a fresh peyote? Or dried peyote? If you have one fresh peyote then it won't contain anywhere near enough mescaline to trip on. You'll just choke it down, vomit and not feel a thing. You need a good 6-8 fresh peyote to feel anything.

They also need to be at least 10-15 years old. Any younger and they contain next to no mescaline.

Never used cacti before and if I buy a 700gram peyote for instance it would really suck if 400grams was the skin. sure 300grams of flesh would be enough anyway but still. Lets say I buy a 300gram peyote and 70% is the skin that would really suck.

If what you say is true; the skin is only a couple of grams then it's no problem at all regardless the weight:) Couple of grams is nothing.

It's fresh.

I've asked this before and was told a 20-25 year old which I'm buying would be enough. I've also read that 200gram of fresh peyote would be a really strong trip so I don't really understand your post.

Peyote is a very slow growing cactus. In Erowid 15 Med sized buttons is equivalent to 200g fresh. So i'm having a hard time believing that a 20 year old peyote cactus weights more than 40-50 grams. Now there are techniques in which you can fuse it to a san pedro, and other growing methods that claim to have fully mature buttons in just 3 years. Having no experience with peyote, I feel this as much advice as I can give.

Alright, I've asked the seller about the weight so we'll see. I hope your wrong but I fear the worst:(

Sounds like the biggest peyote in recorded history. Most indians took 6-8 peyote as a basic dose, the experienced users took upwards of 30.

For some reason it still seems to me like you would do better to eat that 20-25 year old than 3 times as much / many immature ones (and they take long to mature)... so maybe it's not so bad after all.
Of course the question remains if it's really that old, besides I would think that such an old one would be very expensive.

I just wanted to poke my head in and drop a note:

Peyote is endangered, and rapidly progressing toward extinction.

Don't disturb wild-growing peyote cacti please.
