You might have grown soft over the years if...

^ n1, being soft in the drug world aint all bad.
You're def Flanders-soft if when your Dr asks is 60 OC 80s enough to get you by till your appointment with a pain specialist and u say: yes easily(the truth)!!!!!! DOH.

Edit: and I was also asked if I was okay for benzos for the time being and told the truth and said yes. DOH!

Ill carry that one further...if you open one of those idiotic 'cute kitten' picture e-mails and are actually charmed by it...instead of visualising a sack+brick+river.lol

If you step outside for a post-dinner cigarette, get just a few drags & say, "Fuck no, it's too cold for this shit" and step right back inside.

Im in the same position as you at the moment mate.
I have specialist assessments going up to judge if I need surgery and/or stronger meds.
Personally id rather not let a surgeon anywhere near my back or neck as their bloody butchers!lol
Good luck with your appt and well done on not taking the extra meds, that speaks volumes for you.

^ thanks. The real test is in an appt scheduled nxt week. When I get to the causes of my pain (possible surgery/possible meds change). Doing a lot of proactive shit next week.

Whosajiggawwaa: I hope you're able to make the right decision for yourself. Whichever decision that turns out to be. ;)

Best of luck. To the both of you.

Thanks guys. :)

<3 my Bluelight peeps. Yeah I'm not keen to have this titanium (at least I hope that's the metal they used) plate + over 10(think about 14) but not looking at xray cd again this sober (and i aint even that really sober) screws out either. But I can't be on strong opiods forever. I guess I could. It's something I will put a lot more thought into it.

Today I chilled with friends (which can be taxing) and had to do A LOT. Most important things were spk to current GP, current psych, future pain doc ,future psychiatrist (AD's and benzo balance - need to find one) ("pls bitch to me more "*in heavy russian accent*i know) but < that played a big roll in my fuckitall evening and late afternoon. I cheated today and took over 400 mgs of oxycodone + too many benzos, not something I want to have happen again).

And (OT)

When you find yourself ^ saying stuff like chilling with "friends is taxing" - you def gone soft!

^i had back surgery and they switched to stainless steel because it has a little more give than titanium and allows you to bend over and stuff..i have two 20" rods in my back about the thickness of a wooden pencil's lead and 24 screws. I have scoliosis and never wore my back brace. In my defense it was super ugly, i could choose a pattern to put on it and for some reason i put on blue minnow fish...

I dont know about plates tho.

^ It's a 60 cm either titanium or stainless steel plate with screws (BIG) ones holding it in place. Hurts everyday. Got a lot more metal in me though but that hurts me the most. SOFTYWIGGAWAAA!!!!

Wish opiods were lower scheduled and cheaper (even from discount mega-pharmacies pharmacy's original OxyContin and OxyNorm are expensive as hell).

ALSO WISH lIKE THAT SCENE IN DRUG STORE COWBOY WHEN MATT DILLAN GIVES williams s burroughs ( playing an ancient junkie priest on a methadone program and all he wants to do is get high - the priest) a shopping bag full of dilaudid morphine, oxymorphone, some form of dipipenone I reckon and barbiturates. The look on the old man's face saying you'll surely get into heaven for this young man. It was my fav part of the movie.

I wish someone gave me a shopping bag full of strong opiods. I'd probs start crying like a bitch - SOFT!

^yea after they showed me the size of the screws i was like holy shit theyre big i thought theyd be tiny like maybe screws for glasses or something theyre bigger than the average screw its like a big bolt with a metal contraption around it.

I loved that movie. I used to watch it and just shoot dilaudid. Though I never got blue dillies.

Reminds me of watching trainspotting in withdrawals. The first 10 minutes of that movie and then I was out the door with some gold to sell and you bet I got high.
