I don't care if it was LSD or Nbomes, beating someone who is having a bad trip is barbaric. I think NRI means non resident Indian:

Postmortem shows NRI was beaten up, friends could be arrested
Raj Shekhar, TNN | Sep 16, 2013, 05.23 AM ISTNEW DELHI:

The postmortem conducted on Anmol Sarna, who died in hospital after being found in a pool of blood on a street in Kalkaji, south Delhi, has confirmed that the 20-year-old NRI from the US was beaten up before his death.

Sarna was allegedly bashed up by his friends after they had consumed a psychotropic drug during a party at flat number 95 of South Park Apartments in Kalkaji on Friday night. Police said on Sunday evening that on the basis of fresh evidence, two of Sarna's friends and a couple of guards in the colony could be arrested in the next 24 hours. Cops have found bloodstains at the apartment as well as signs of violence.

DCP southeast P Karunakaran said Sarna's four friends were in a stupor brought about by LSD use and could not recall, for about 24 hours, what transpired during the party. Police are the complainants in the FIR, which was registered on the basis of the DD entry of the PCR call on Friday night. One person has been detained on the suspicion of having supplied the drug to the youths.

However, police are yet to ascertain the motive for the attack on Sarna. Dr Sudhir Gupta, professor and head of the forensics department at AIIMS, confirmed that Sarna's death was caused due to multiple head injuries. "The injuries have been caused by a blunt weapon," he said. Dr Gupta said that various biological samples from the body including blood and viscera have been preserved to corroborate further evidences.

The FIR says that five friends - Anmol, Shivang, Praneel, Madhav and Rhytham - were in Praneel's bedroom and had consumed food and drugs. However, Anmol began to behave violently. He picked up things from the kitrchen and began to throw it around after which he ran out of the house screaming. The LCD TV in the house was found cracked by the police.

He was later made to lie down in the open to recover from the "bad trip" but he soon became restless again after which a guard apparently complained to Pranel's father about Anmol creating a ruckus. The police reached later and took Anmol to the hospital, where he died. What cops have not been able to ascertain is how Anmol's head and body had so many injuries.

The boys were so drugged and shocked in the first 24 hours, police say, that they were not able to give a correct account of things. This caused the initial delay. Sometimes they would say he fell but later report that he banged his head on the wall. They also blamed the guards for his injuries. The cops however are interrogating them to ascertain how there were blood spots on at least three of cars, at gate (number 1) and on the road.

LSD is regarded as the most psychoactive substance among party drugs and has been found to be sold at rave parties in NCR, a cop said. The friends have confessed to have bought the drug from a Noida-based dealer

I was thinking maybe security guards. I don't know if it's translations or what but the Indian media publish some very strange articles and I gave up trying to figure out what happened, I decided not to post them as they all contradict each other. Here is an article on the "LSD". Weird it came from China, weirder they mention a bunch of well know legit European prints. I would be pretty surprised if LSD were being made in China, not shocked, but surprised.

NRI Anmol Sarna's death: LSD from China, ordered online

NEW DELHI: Investigations into the source of the LSD consumed by NRI Anmol Sarna and his friends has unearthed an astounding trail — the psychedelic drug, say cops, was ordered online by a Noida-based 'master supplier' and arrived through courier from China, hidden inside books and greeting cards.

Police have arrested the supplier, Dushyant Lamba. Also under arrest are an IIPM student named Nehul, who helped the friends procure the drug and Bhuvan alias Potter, a mediator between Nehul and Dushyant. Sarna, 20, had died in hospital last Saturday after consuming the LSD.

Police sources said Dushyant used to procure the drug from his Beijing-based contact, identified as Eric. The payments were made through a money transfer service. The LSD sheet was hidden inside books and greeting cards and then couriered to Delhi and Noida, the source said.

Police sources said Dushyant first received orders in bulk from small peddlers and his clients in Delhi and NCR over phone and messaging services. Thereafter, he sent an email from his id [email protected] to [email protected] and placed orders for the LSD. The drug was code-named 'rabbit'.

Dushyant then transferred the money - around $300-500 for one sheet - into Eric's account after which the orders were shipped. The orders were either sent through the courier - police have recovered FedEx receipts - or through book posts.

Dushyant has said the sheets were odorless, tasteless and unconventional, so they passed through Customs and evaded sniffer dogs.

One sheet of LSD contained around 100 blotters depending upon quality. The quality varied between LSD brands such as Shiva, Hoffmans', California Sunshine and Dalai Lama, an officer said. Anmol and friends had consumed Shiva blotters before and paid Rs 1,400 each - a total of Rs 7000 - for five blotters. For Dushyant, police said, the profit margin was as high as 300%. He bought a sheet for around 31,000 in Indian currency and sold it for around Rs 1,20,000.

The source said police had recovered at least 12 emails from Dushyant's laptop as evidence of the transactions. The cops are also going through two other accounts belonging to Dushyant and have got the account number of the bank in Beijing to which the money was transferred.

Cops said Dushyant, Nehul and Bhuvan were being trailed since Sunday and were finally arrested from Noida under sections of NDPS Act. Dushyant, who runs an event management company as a cover for his drug operations, is being further interrogated, a source said.

DCP P Karunakaran and addl DCP Joy Tirkey are leading a special team of investigators comprising SHO Kalkaji, Nehru Place police post in-charge and 12 others.

Dushyant has been given police custody for a day. Cops said he has confessed to supplying LSD blotters and ecstasy pills to youths at several discotheques and pubs in Delhi and Noida, the details of which are being corroborated. His call details are being scanned to ascertain the identity of the people he was in touch with.

The cops said that three of the five friends who consumed LSD at South Park apartment in south Delhi — Anmol, Shivank Gambhir and Madhav Bahndari — had gone to Noida on September 11 to procure the drug through Madhav's IIPM classmate, Nehul. Nehul had earlier told Madhav he could arrange for the hallucinogen.

On September 11, Nehul contacted Bhuvan for five blotters, who in turn phoned Dushyant and took the delivery. The blotters were received by the three friends, who stored it in one of their fridges in a ziplock bag. They were consumed two days later on September 13, a Friday.
