but you could be my demon moving forward through the flaming doors. I'm over my Wilco obsession but xburtonchic's profile quote made me think of War on War mostly because of the line, "You have to learn how to die if you want to be alive." I have Asperger's Syndrome, and herbs / ethnobotany / shamanic traditions have been a long time special interest, possibly some of that comes from my dad's interest in wild foods. I was mostly clean for about 20 years until I had a bad Crohn's Disease flare a couple years ago, actually I was struggling with prednisone withdrawal and a friend re-introduced me to cannibis and I discovered I could go for 2-3 days without abdominal cramping, but have built up some tolerance since then. I've also been using kanna (sceletium tortuosum) especially since having a problems with my supply, seems to be OK for cramping. I'm looking for other options and maybe setting up some sort of rotation to avoid becoming physically dependent and keep my tolerance down.

did i say something wrong?

Just wondering. I'm 42 years old by the way. I'm into author Brandon Sanderson lately and the Mistborn series. My wife is obsessed with Christopher Paolini I started listening to Inheritance trying to catch up with her. I listen to audiobooks at 3x speed to me I have no problem understanding it whatsoever.

Welcome! :)
Glad you are here. I am sorry to hear about your condition...and the need for complications that come with it-at least the few you shared with us above. I am sure there are many more. I love you intro and title!!! The title made me think of "Naked Lunch" ~William S. Burroughs when the typewriter morphs into the roach :)
I love Wilco-of course I am and old school, mid 30s hippie chick who goes to Bonnaroo every year and as many other shows or smaller festivals(local or nearby Blues and Jazz fests, mainly). I support local music and there are some famous musicians in the industry today-2 of which are son's of my mom's old boss- who came to see me in the ER after my near fatal car accident almost 6 years ago-I grew up knowing him and he was a sweet and gentle-brilliant cardiologist -he came to ER bc my mo cldnt see me and my prognosis was not good- transected was big one and none of the Drs expected me to live through the night-even him. he held my hand and i asked him if i was dying-he said no-months later after countless surgery and physical therapy i went to see him in his office...he held me and cried and told me of the guilt he had for lying to me bc he,too, believed I would pass and told me i was a medical miracle and just hugged me...
sorry-i totally hijacked YOUR intro. My correspondence w/ EVERYONE today has been a walk down memory's many lanes.

Thanks, I struggle a bit with the concept of other-mind, so I'm a bit self-conscious at times.

Thanks. I wanted to do something a little different with the title. skillz check out Bug Powder Dust on Kruder & Dorfmeister: The K&D Sessions it's got a cute rap based on Naked Lunch. It's a great album I'd classify it as trip-hop, the mixes of Rocker's HiFi / Going Under are intense, Bomberclaad Joint. Eastwest was the first track I heard on Pandora and I had to have the album. If you hate bossa-nova, though, it's nor for you, a lot of the tracks are cut to a bossa-nova beat. Lately, I'm listening to Skrillex that's mostly my daughter's influence she's 12 and doing dubsteb mixes in garage band. I'm listening to the new Evanescence my daughter says, "I like dark and emo and all, but she sounds like she's singing in a rock opera, sheesh!"

I merged your 2 threads...that is why is seems a bit out of sorts....

Much peace and love.....................skillz <3

***edit-I will definitely check out your music recommendation! We have a music thread here in NMI as well...I am posting there shortly so it will appear near the top of the page!!! :) SO share, share, share the music! ;)
