Okay... so yesterday for shits n giggles I decided to purify a few dexamph tablets using an adjusted way to my normal pill filtration techniques. Since it wasn't designed to be used for banging I didn't use clean barrels (never been used for IV, just measuring) to clean it up.
Anyway managed using micron filters to get the solution out crystal clear and put it on a hot water bath on the stove followed by oven to evap off. If the wheel filters didn't take away the nasties, the heat definitely would have.
Normally I don't IV myself unless I have to because of shakey hands but I know how to prep shots and pills proper and how to admin if needed.
Anyway 3am I decided I should blast some to see what it was like... I have bad veins to find since putting on weight past 3 years so after three attempts registered and started injecting slowly using my last 1mL fit. 3\4 through felt a bit of a sting, re-registered and then realised I'd moved out of the vein so must have missed a bit though got most of it.
Now I got a bit more stupid and decided to do the rest in the only works I had left, being 3 mL barrels. Since I used my only good vein on my arm I figured I'd try the hand. First with 30G tips, but found em too hard to register with that much liquid requiring pressure... failed a couple and then whacked on a 26G.
Registered, started injecting and then noticed a massive ball developing so I'd missed like a mofo or had too much air in the barrel from trying to register.
Both times I used (clean) socks wrapped around the area tight to shrink it down, but part of my hand is still red and hurting today.
Immediately after bleeding had stopped I applied another iso wipe, put on some betadine (iodine based) ointment and an antifungal\corticosteroid cream and reapplied with a hot sock wrapped around it for a bit longer. Lump went away within 10 minutes.
I know I'm probably fine because the dex came out like slightly off white xtal after evap, but just wanna know what else I should do next couple days to prevent infection etc. I'm not use to banging into my hands that much, but I used up my easy left arm vein and my feet had been in socks all day and didn't wanna use the vein on my ankle. Both times I used socks soaked in hot water wrapped around the areaa where miss had occured.
Any steps I should follow next couple days to reduce infection risk and help things heal??? I plan to put some oxy into me in the next coming days after I go restock on wheels and more barrels.
Also does anybody have any suggestions on using 30G tips on barrels??? The pressure required is too difficult for me with 3mL barrels and unfortunately when shooting MS and OC you gotta.
