Does anyone else suffer severe, constant yawning if they don't dose within 24 - 30 hours of their previous dose? This seems odd, but has been the case for the last several years with all bupe and bupe/naloxone formulations - by SL or insulfation.
Yeah, I know this is a typical early symptom of w/d but I don't get why I'd have this issue so soon after my previous dosing which usually isn't finished until the mid-PM?
The HR angle here is this situation gives way to thinking I can get off on dope anytime I want, and I do believe this to be true as I have done so, but I'm two years off the IV train and wish to remain so.
I typically snarf 1/2 of my tiny 8-mg generic tablets over the course of the day, not all at once. But that makes no difference. Even when I was taking 8-mgs/day SL of bupe/naloxone this would happen - so it isn't my current dosing technique, schedule or b/c I went back to s-UTEX.
Yawning goes away fast after I snarf like 1/8th of a pill and won't return even if I wait to finish the other 3/8th until after work.
If I could resolve the yawning it would really help the 'cravings' that follow. I do not wish to raise my bupe dose, it wouldn't help anyway.
I know a solution would be to always take my bupe at the exact same time every day. That just isn't possible - I'm not that organized - I'm older and I have to accept that I will forget my bupe some days, even with a dedicated alarm to remind me. I work an hour from home. I keep an extra bupe pill in my car and other precautions but many of you know how that works, once the yawning begins so does the mental battle - bupe or dope? And my work is at the intersection of MLK and Cesar Chavez Blvds.
