I don't hate Christmas or the coming New Year
I hate the way everyone pile out on the streets
Rushing and pushing to get their way around.
Mind you it happens not just at this time
It happens all the time when a holiday draws near.
It's not just people rushing about
It's also about those who saunter throughout
At their own pace oblivious pretty much
To the buildup of human traffic behind them
that's the cause of their touch
So I don't really hate Christmas, or grudge the holiday cheer
I just want this season to be over with
Just so I can get on with the year
