For those who haven't seen yet, we had an update to our forum software. It went mostly well but there's definitely a few bugs to iron out and issues to sort. I will use this thread to review any changes that come through.

You can now search through your inbox to find specific messages. Only works on desktop for me. It's at the top left above list member or whatever.

There's more but I'm tired, I will come back through and make updates as I have them

alerts are kind of spotty since then. before the update it was always rock solid now i can never tell if it's the right count

Why don't you put some sort of " [ ] online [ ] offline " signal next to peoples Avatars so people can tell when a person is on the Website ?

Did you check to make sure none of your settings were changed or anything?

but isn't this supposed to be a setting thing?
like i can select if i want to show my online status? it's in your account > privacy > privacy status (i have that unchecked, now i shouldn't be listed as online to others)

Preferences -> privacy options -> online status----

Thats how I do it. Yours is still showing your online status. If you turn it off it will no longer say when you were last active either

and i can see the green dot on @Doris Pringle-Brule but not on @deficiT
so i guess it works.
but i'm not sure if it works in the "who is online" window that shows in the "whats's new" list.

just checked, it looks more or less as it was.

i'm getting the notifications it's just that it takes a long time for the count to show.

it seemed to be better today but still a 10s delay on first load

is no one else seeing this?

Yeah im not sure really. Its nothing that ive noticed, I use mobile and PC both at times. Quote me again right now if you see this and I'll try to see for myself

I'm just suggesting you make it easier for people to notice instead of you have them having them figure it out.

There is always a little bit of a delay. And sometimes it is a little bit more extensive. Or I mean. And sometimes it is a little bit more extensive ?

Hitting the refresh button really helps boost it a lot though. They do work and were placed there for a reason now so to speak. utube even has them.

It's traffic though and is everywhere now. For sure. It's just a delay. I know everyone has it. But everyone doesn't always say anything or mention it a lot.

It's there. lol.. I'm sure for everyone. Even for . . . . . . . high speed internet. . . lol. Yes, especially then too I suppose.

tldr: Just try to boost the delay with the refresh option I guess.

You can see everyone you follows online status at the bottom of the screen, as well as every member that's online. There is also the thing by the avatar, and if you click their profile, most people have the "last seen" thing.

Im not sure what else we could do but the green thing says it right there as plainly as I could imagine would be useful.
