About 3 years ago when I went to school I took about 10mgs of Xanax before school.( first time takin Xanax) well long story short and fell asleep on classroom floor.. They took me for a drug test and I passed. My question is, how the fuck did I pass I was so fucked up. I nearly remember. I only have taken them handful of times but I stopped on the account of trying to jump off a balcony while on them. Any similar experiences? Seems like I become bi- polar on them and I just don't remember anything while on them.

I do not take them any more because of that. But I seem to go ape shit. Throw books at teachers etc. So my questions are. How did I pass the drug test? And why do I become bi-polar? I was told I had depression, bipolar, and anxiety By therapist. but i truly do not believe I have any of that but anxiety. Is it possible my Bi-polar comes out when I take benzos?
 
Benzos are very good at lowering inhibitions, and combined with their amnesiac effects, a psychotic response isn't exactly uncommon. 10mg is a stupid amount to take, and it seems you get these reactions because you're taking way too much of it.

Drug tests will very rarely test for benzos specifically, they probably just did a standard coke/opiate/amphet test on you.
 
Yes I realized that when they sent me e.r. Ever sense then I'm smarter about what I take. I research before I do , read up on it etc. But that's the thing I would take small dose aswell and for some reason take a shit load more just basically lose control. Maybe there just not for me.
 
I agree with nAON 100%. I was already thinking THIS GUY IS TAKING TOO MUCH before I read nAON's post. A 10mg dose is a VERY large dose. I love xanax, but 10mg is a high dose for an occasional user. I would drop the dose WAY down, you will feel good but not be so shittered that you are passing out every where. Control yourself son. Next time try 1 or 2 mg at the most.
They probably gave you a cheap dipstick test that doesnt detect benzos. Count your blessings and be smarter about what your doing before you wind up in some court-ordered programs that I can assure you, you will not like.
Dosage is important.
 
Well when i took 1mg even that would get me bad off to where I would just take more. then go to gas station Then forget i did that 5 minutes later.any thing I did I forgot moments later. It was ridiculous, That's the reason I don't do k pins or xanaxs any more I just lose control and I would like to know why? Maybe I just can't handle it? It's like I'm watching someone else do stupid shit. Then I forget.
 
It's so easy to over do it on benzos. I go up to 20 mgs on Xanax, but I don't go "crazy" or blackout. I've also been on benzos for 4+ years.
But like I said it's easy to take a Xanax and go hmm I bet one more would feel awesome and before you know it you've ate a ton of them. It's easy to do it with any benzo actually.

Thats what happens. But im much smarter now but that's exacty what happens. Although I
Black out and just lose it. But like I said I don't do them no more
 
Its common for me to take Benzos and then have completely no memory of who?/what?/where? afterwards.

I thought this is probably the most unwanted effect of Benzos in general.
 
Benzodiazepines are notorious at producing disinhibition (lowering your inhibitions) as mentioned above as well as severely imparing your judgement. On top of that amnesia is also common. All of these effects are dose-dependent, of course. When I had no benzo tolerance and took 0.5 mg Xanax there was definite disinhibition, perhaps slightly impaired judgement, and a little cloudiness surrounding the experience. If I took 1 mg Xanax with no tolerance these effects would be more pronounced. If you take 10 mg Xanax with no tolerance, well it is no surprise you ended up as you did.
 
I suggest you figure out if its worth it. Xanax might not be for you, I can ASSURE you, based on what you have said, OP, that you WILL get in trouble. Self control is essential. If you go ass clown stupid every time you take xanax, then dont take the shit unless you enjoy social sanctions.
 
I haven't taken any for a couple months and don't plan to. I do not think it's worth it. Thanks for input. Was just curious.
 
10mg is a crazy amount to take at once with no tolerance. Probably lucky that you just fell asleep instead of blacking out and doing something else stupid.

As is said they might not have run a panel including benzodiazepines... it seems to be more common though, in pharmacies here they sell 'full panel' drug tests now that test for opioids, benzodiazepines, amphetamines/MDMA, marijuana all at once.

OP: Benzo's turn the "fuck it all" WAY up in me too - have any underlying issues w/ anger or some such? (No need to answer if you don't like to - just think on it.)
 
Because of xanax's short duration (and to some extent the intensity of inhibition), it can be very "moreish" especially compared to other benzos. and 10 mg is a very high dose, especially for your first time. I fucked with xanax a bit a few years ago, the most I took was 9.5 mg and I was still able to function but I think I may have a bit of a natural benzo tolerance. You're lucky you didn't try to mix it with anything, benzo's by themselves are pretty safe (in terms of overdose) but once you start adding other drugs, especially other CNS depressants, things get harder to predict quick.

Actually yes. Ive always had some sort of problem with anger. That's what I was thinking maybe they just do something to me to where it just flips a switch? And bring that out in me but about 10x worst.

My recommendation at this point would be to see a psych of some sort, they can really help. Do you feel that you NEED benzos, or is it just recreational? If you NEED them, you may find a different one does what you need without the rage issues surfacing. I definitely understand what you mean by the switch being "flicked" as I have to deal with anger issues and mild bipolar as well.

Note: benzos typically reduce your "ability to feel" - so in your case I presume (at least Xanax) they're removing your filter that comes before "destroy everything." Sometimes it's fun though.. (breaking stuff that is; not being in control just sucks).
 
No no I don't. Was recreational for sure. I did see a psych for a couple years. It did help very much but currently I'm not seein him any more. And for the benzos I do not take
Them anymore because of that side effect, I broke phones I did so many dumb things I just can't even take them. So for that I decided it's not worth the side effects for me. And plus I don't remember nearly anything when on them. it's just a mess. But I appreciate all the help I really do good to know I'm not the only
One that it happens to.

It happens man; not everything "agrees" with us. Good on you for noticing the problem and nipping it in the bud; plenty of other ways to have some recreational fun. ;)
 
I've taken Xanax, ativan, valium, and k-pins. All medicinal, although I seem to always know my right dosage..
and my Dr. never gets it right!!
Xanax was a Godsend for me when I was younger..now it makes me sleep.
Ativan's not much fun, but it can help with the knot that lives in my belly.
I would like to kiss whoever developed diazapam..
K-pins are the ones that I need to stay away from. They severely lower my inhibitions
and induce drug-seeking behavior in me bigtime.
I first took K-pin in my late teens and had never heard of it, nor had anybody I knew at the time.
But they had this effect on me from the first dose.
I'm in my early 30's now, everybody loves them..
but they're trouble for me.
We all react differently..and it's good you recognized it was best for you to stay away.
I don't know what's with you men and putting holes in walls though.
I never understood destroying what's yours, if you can avoid it.
