Hi I have xanax available to me, I was wondering how it compared to diazepam, I haven't tried any of these drugs yet?

I can get both Xanax SR and XR in 0.5mg, 1mg, 2mg and diazepam in 5mg.
 
Would you say something like 1mg xanax compares to 10mg diazepam?

.5mg of xanax is equal to 10mg of valium. IMHO valium is the far superior benzo if you are looking for any euphoria. Valium is actually one of the only benzos that I even associate euphoria with. The only other one I really enjoy is midazolam, which isn't exactly easy to come by compared to other benzos.
 
Xanax is NOT stronger than diazepam. It's more POTENT and its probably a slightly superior axiolytic, but weaker otherwise.
Diazepam is a stronger sedative, stronger muscle relaxant, and a much more powerful anticonvulsant.
 
Sorry I am a total newbie to these, which of the xanax is closest to diazepam would you say the SR or XR?
 
0.5mg of Xanax is equivalent to 10mg of diazepam. Xanax acts for around 2-4 hours, whereas diazepam may act for 8-10. Xanax is very potently anxiolytic and amnesic (you'll forget shit)m and as the only benzo it has some antidepressant properties. Add to this that the effects begin very quickly, and it can be considered euphoric by some.

Diazepam is longer-acting, has relatively stronger muccle relaxing properties, and is sedating at higher doses (but so is Xanax). Diazepam is a jack-of-all-trades benzo.

Xanax is considered more recreational by most, myself included. I would even say equivalence-wise smaller Xanax doses may beate diazepam; ie. 2mg Xanax would be 40mg diazepam, but I'd rather take 2mg Xanax than 60mg diazepam.
 
Ok I have learned that most of you say 0.5mg is simular to taking 10mg of diazepam.

Both of the meds will relieve stress and give you a good nights sleep?

Would xanax be better for an occaisional user due to the shorter half life, for example taking it one night then it being ok to drive without feeling drowsy the next day?

Just trying to get the pro's and cons of both meds before I purchase them.
 
xanax is better for short term recreational use but the buzz is maybe 2 hours long, valium has a longer peak and probably at higher doses will make you less sleepy

xanax sells a lot more on the street than valium you figure it out

If you had a choise out of the two which would you prefer?

Dang man you got good sources lol but if i were you i would definatly go for the 2mg SR's. There are 3 different kinds of 2mg bars try to get the yellow one's which are my favorite compared to the green and white ones IMO.

Why the SR over XR?

Like I said I havent tried any of these so have no idea what to expect.
 
Well it depends on what you are going to be using the xanax for, are you being prescribed or are you buying them "somewhere else"? If your goal is to get a high i would go SR, because the XR is extended release therefore you only get a small amount at one time over a long period, but you could always crush or chew the XR's.
 
Dude, don't buy pills from an online vendor. Valium was the only somewhat legit pill that I have knows to be purchased online....

The way you wrote what you can get is straight from the order form, so don't even try to say its not.
 
No I am not being prescribed them, was just lookin at something where I could take a few pills, put my feet up, relieve any stress and have a good nights sleep.

What is the xanax high like? What sort of effects would you feel from a xanax high?
 
Like tommy boy said please dont buy pills from an online vendor you could get yourself into serious trouble or end up getting low quality pills. The high is pretty amazing its like being drunk without the nausia, you will also feel waves of euphoria and an inablility to walk or talk correctly if the dose is high enough, also be aware that if you pass a certain dose you WILL black out, 7mg + will have you waking up the next morning somewhere different then when you fell asleep.
 
I trust my source 100% anyway, I have ordered other things from him and always been legit, he has access to a pharmacy where he can just walk in and buy over the counter I think (eastern europe).

I still cant decide whether to go for the SR or XR though :-/
