Xanax xr vs. ir

I have many junkie friends that claim xr isnt as good cause all the drug doesn't get released. Anyone else like the XR better cuz I think they are far superior. No anxiety weighting for that next pill... I take 4mg a day now for those who are curious. Seems the same as maybe 5 or 6 ir in my opinion... I don't like rebound anxiety as I am vulnerable to it..

XR is better for GAD
IR is better for panic attacks

Clonazepam, Valium, and Alprazolam XR are the gold standards for longer term relief.

IR is better if you want to get high.

One 3mg XR pill IMO is like having 1mg of IR xanax active for 8-12 hours, obviously as it's slow release

Your probably liking it because your scripted them, thus trying to make your situation sound better for your self. But people who want to get buzzed of bars or fucked up quickly would always go for the IR. I like Xr's here and there but those are definitely suited for GAD.
