xanax vs. ativan

ok...i know that both are short acting benzos with similar doses but does one have more favorable effects than the other?
i've only tried xanax...it's quite nice and i like it...
any comments, ideas, suggestions?

if you like xanax, you'll probably like ativan...I find it hard to tell the difference between the two sometimes.
Xanax is a little stronger mg/mg, and Ativan doesn't seem to give me the amnesiac effects that xanax does, but really, it's six of one for half a dozen of the other.
If you're looking to get a benzo "high" xanax is probably slightly better. For just chilling out or getting through the day the two are equally good.

I prefer ativan, it's "trippier" if that makes any sense. Goes nicely with cannibas.

what exactly is ativan
i mean..my grandma gets a steady supply of it...and i heard it was like xanex and fucks u up..so one nite i took a 2mg of it...made me zoned and kinda fucked up..smokin weed was fun too..but when i finally crash i wake up like zonked out..i dunno how to explain it..also ive only taken 3mg max...usually i take 2mg after tweakin to help come down and sleep...but how much should i take ect...whats its effects..id like to kno more about this..maybe i coudl slang my grannys ativan, lol

Yeah, on a mg for mg basis I really dont see much difference... both are short acting benzos... the biggest difference is that Xanax is a little rought on the memory...
