Xanax & Valium

I have obtained 90 5mg's V's and 100 1mg X's from a (not named) overseas source. I tried 10mg valium yesterday, and it was very mild...lasted a couple hours and thats about it. I took 2 1mg xanax, and WOW it was waaay stronger than the 10mg valium i took earlier in the day. It made me feel i weighed more, heavy. What a great sleep aid also, i slept like a baby all night, and i woke up a while ago, and i'm still feeling a little sedated..
How long do the effects of each of these typically last? What do YOU guys think is the safe amount of days to wait inbetween dosing, to not become addicted? Keep in mind, i am a person who never seems to really develop a tolerance to anything, even if i take (whatever substance) often. I've taken gbl several days in a row (not the whole day but once/twice per those days), and stopped with no problem. Weed, i can smoke every day for a while, stop with no problem (i get sick of it) and i never develop any tolerance (from smoking every day for weeks).
If 10mg Valium (Roche 5mg tabs from "overseas") was too mild, i suppose i'll try 20mg next time.
 
I would call 10mg valium a starting dose,that a doctor would suggest.
A recreational dose would start at 30mg in my opinion.

What is the typical time length of the "high" from each benzo? I read about the "half life" but what does that mean compared to the "high"? The valium seemed to only last a couple hours (but it was a low 10mg dose). I took the 2mg xanax at about 9:30pm, still buzzed great at 11:30, went to sleep easily, woke up once at 4am to go to the bathroom, and i was STILL buzzing good, and even in the morning at 8am i was still a little buzzed. I thought xanax wasn't supposed to last long (its not a bad thing though)
 
You said you took the valium earlier in the day and then the xanax. The valium was still effecting you (even if you didn't notice it because it was a low dose) when you took the xanax, and the intoxication produced was a combination of the two. The valium high lasts much longer than the xanax.
 
Valium does not suck, and 20mg of valium does not equal 5mg of xanax. I'd try 20mg this time and see what that does for you. It should be more comparable to the 2mg xanax but probably won't hit you as hard. It is a bit more relaxing and less heavy. 30mg isn't out of the question but it probably isn't necessary for you right now. Try working your way up from 20mg.
I wouldn't immediately blame the morning drowsiness on the valium you had earlier though. Now that my tolerance is gone 2mg of Ativan lasts well over 12 hours. I might not get the full effects the entire time, but I have trouble remembering into the afternoon sometimes.
I actually find myself much more clear headed on 20-30mg of valium than I do on 2-4mg of ativan. I've lost whole weekends of my life on 6mg+ of ativan and its not supposed to have a long half life compared to other benzos.
 
Ok this time i tried 20mg valium...nice...but still mild, relatively clear headed..like drinking a couple beers. The effect only lasted a few hours MAX, it still seems like a xanax will last many more hours....hmmm wierd. Well time for a few days break...dont want to build any tolerance..oh wait...the weekend is tomorrow...alright i'll save those few days for after the weekend lol. Actually, i plan to use most of these for "anxiety" i have, and xanax seems most useful for that.
GBL actually seems more fun than the benzo's...it will fuck you up a lot more, give some nice background euphoria/energy, and no hangover at all.
 
If I where going to compare the strength of the highs I would say 20mg of valium equals closer to 1mg xanax. I know different people react differently to benzo's, but 5mg of xanax will absolutely floor me (sans benzo tolerance), while 20mg valium will only have a mellow high.
