Xanax > Valium Dosage?

Hi,

If (the odd time I had taken) xanax was between 2mg - 6mg (1 - 3 bars) with almost no tolerance, how much valium would I need for the same effects?

Its strange because I have seen other people take much less with the same low tolerance as myself and be totally out of it, but thats never happened to me....

I tried 20mg valium, but I couldn't even feel a thing? If I go up in dose, isn't the half life going to make the effects last for days??? At least with xanax the half life was only a few hours, not 100!

How much valium would be needed? or does valium not work for some, and xanax does?

Bro, Xanax is designed to be a damn tranquilizer. Valium is just a very mild sedative, usually used to relax a person before surgery. It does "relax" you, but won't make you feel like a zombie like a mild does of Xanax does.

Xanax is designed for severe, clinical anxiety and other disorders. Shit so bad that you couldn't otherwise function normally unless you were in a fog all the time.

I'd said to reach just a 1 bar dose of Xanax, you'd have to take a minimum of 100mg of Valium. I've done it before with similar effects, although still not the same.

My advice, don't fuck around with bars and shit. Try an opiate and smile.

To me xanax was never like a tranquilizer, it was great for going out with, not sure why it acted like that....

Since theres no more xanax, and valium doesn't give me the same effects, looks like just have to leave it altogether.

What kind of opiate were you talking about?

Please look at the Bluelight Benzo Conversion Chart.

10 mg diazepam = 0.5 mg alprazolam

So if you take 2-6 mg alprazolam, the equivalent of that in diazepam would be 40-120 mg diazepam. Now, you have to take into consideration that diazepam (Valium) is a stronger sedative than alprazolam. So you might want to decrease the diazepam dose slightly, maybe something like 30-100 mg.
