Xanax tolerance

My order of 50 1mg Xanax's came in on Wednesday. First I took 1mg to start off with a couple of beers. That was a pretty nice buzz. Then last night I took 3mg with no alcohol and got pretty fucked up. I fell asleep within an hour and slept for 12 hours, I woke up today at noon feeling kinda out of it for the whole day. I might take another 2mg of Xanax before bed, and take the rest of the week off. How long is a good period to wait in between benzo dosage, so as not to develop dependency/tolerance?
edit - Also, do these mix well with Soma's? I've got a shitload of 175mg Soma's around. Thanks

i would say around 2-3 times a week should be ok ,dunno about the somas

Doing benzo's every day will quickly build a tolerance. Usually if you take a day or two off, your tolerance will go down considerably. However, if you've done xanax every day for a long period of time, it would take even longer to decrease tolerance, from weeks to a month. Be careful, as the longer you do them habitually, the worse the anxiety when you try to withdrawl. If you limit them to 3 or less days a week, you shouldn't have any problems with tolerance or withdrawl. I'm not sure about Soma's, but I don't believe they're a benzo so their would be an increased effect, but no cross-tolerance.
