Well, Ive had a xanax overdose, in a 20mg xanax + 8 beers combo (Im aware this could have easily killed me). So, its been 8 months since this occured, and Id like to have myself a couple xans in this summer. Should my tolerance be lower since its been such a long time?

If it was a unique intake of 20mg Xanax and after it you have been eight months without taking it you have no tolerance now. If you were taking Xanax for a long time anyway with eight months of abstinence you mustn't have tolerance or have a very very lower tolerance than then.

I've found that the length of time a benzo is used for has more to do with building long term tolerance than a few massive doses with abstinence between. So without knowing your prior history I'd say Yes, your tolerance will be quite low. Be careful regarding runaway dosing.
