Xanax presciptions

To anyone who is prescribed Xanax. I have now tried 3 diff maufacturers of the drug, being mylan 1mgs, sandoz 2 mg bars, and now I am trying the Dava 1mgs. If anyone has tried these new Dava's could you let me know what you prefer out of the diff manufacturers? I found that the blue circular mylans aren't taking care of my anxiety. cheers.
 
Ive heard of people being allergic to different binders and fillers used in different manufacturers, but Xanax is just a pill with the molecule alprazolam in it. Regardless of brand name or generic, its the same chemical. If things work as they should, its a tolerance issue and not an issue with the manufacturer.
 
Alprazolam is alprazolam. Differences should be negligible between brands. .
 
nah man. I have a tolerance and I can tell when the blue mylans are just not as strong as the manufacturers of the 2 mg bars. i will give a review of how one of the green footballls is treating me soon.

Are you speaking from experience? I doubt it. Alot of medications, different brands can have slightly different effects. I always got the sandoz bars, with the ridges on each quarter. If I take the bars with smooth flat bottom, they dont do shit but speed me up.

So there is a difference.
 
thanks for backing me , hydrochron. there most definitely is a diff. the sandoz bars are by far the best but the blue footballs are my favorite (perfect dosage for me is 2-3 of them). Recently I've only been getting mylan blue circles and I just got these green Dava's which seem to be working good. PM me if you wanna. stay safe everybody

I can say this with some experience, since apparently people still beg to differ. Name brand xanax, alprazolam from out-of-country, the little blue footballs, and the Actavis brand I was prescribed for quite a while all seemed to work just as well for me, and if you blindfolded me I wouldn't know the difference...they even all taste horrendous. I mean, after a while there is always a tolerance issue, but generally alprazolam is one of the few controlled drugs where I've tried a variety of generics and the brand name and have found pretty much no difference at all.
 
Thanks Purple_Cloud, I'll try to find a pharmacy that carries those brands. Any other suggestions/people who have tried the mylan circles or Dava green footballs would be greatly appreciated.
 
these fiends i know swear that the green bars are stronger, but i dont know

but like someone above said, if they were blind folded would they be able to honestly pick out the different brands, i dont think i could
 
the mylan circles and green footballs , i have tried them both, and all i can say is they made me feel better . same with the yellow bars,


the only weird experience i've had was with these greenstone footballs,
had a batch that seemed weak and i had to eat a bunch of them
then the last batch i had seemed a lot stronger and i didnt need as much :\
maybe it was just how my brain was firing at the time
i dunno


just watch out that you dont fooled by the ole buspar bars
 
Let me pose a question. Why is it that a .5mg xanax pill is actually more like 300mg of stuff? Well besides the fact that it needs to be swallowable, it has to do with the placebo effect.

Humans actually get a slight placebo effect boost from drugs like anxiety meds, because of the size of the pill. This goes for opiate based painkillers and NSAIDs even. .5mg of alprazolam literally looks like less than one grain of sand.

How do you think it would affect your anxiety if instead of "popping a pill" you dabbed a grain of sand onto your tongue? I bet you wouldnt be AS sedated as popping the pill, because of the placebo effect.

Thats all thats going on. Placebo effect with the "green pill". Most likely because your brains wiring has "positive associations" with taking the green pill over other pills, and therefore your subconscious is tricking your conscious into thinking the green one is more effective...because it IS! but not because of the manufacturer, because of PLACEBO.

its like a self-fulfilling prophecy....except the manufacturer has nothing to do with it, alprazolam is alprazolam, your subconscious positive associations with that manufacturer, however, may cause a slight increase in effectiveness. Make sense? It has to do with the reward system in the brain.


unless of course theres isomers of alprazolam that are less effective??? (...searching wiki...)

Whoa nice post, made me think about all the different OCs I tried...always love the original 80s the most, just never felt right with the "others" lol. What you say makes a good amount of sense though.

Back On topic..first time with these tonight in over a year. Taking 1 mg and a XXX Molson for now... will let you know how that goes..
 
The best is the Pfizer-brand 1mg "Up-John 90" Xanax pills. Very small with little fillers, two of those are (in my opinion) much better than a regular Pfizer 2mg-bar.

Even different batches differs. I have been taking so many thousands of these pills that in my experience I say NOTHING else than the Upjohn 90's for me, ever. If they're not I'd rather drive for hours until I finally get the real stuff. It is for treating bad anxiety and thumbs down to pills who don't do their work properly.

I would like to issue a strong warning about the Merck Alprazolam - they are 40% worse (however very subjectively of course) than the mentioned above in my personal experience, however a little bit better than the Mylan. It's not like they are all made by the same robots on the same factory, life's complex and so I guess chemistry manifucturing is too.

But it's really important to take Xanax with 200ml water, proven to increase absorbation by horselenghts (compared to taking with no water - just swallowing).

The green footballs are a perfect example of how even an experienced drug user can fall for placebo affect. I got a few recently, and having never seen them before and having been told they were stronger I assumed they were 2 mgs. And they felt like 2 mgs. Imagine my surprise when I looked them up on the net.;)
 
No, I'm saying they are 1 mg. But because I thought they were stronger they felt stronger. And I was surprised I would be affected by my expectations to that degree, I would have thought my considerable experience with xanax and drugs in general would have made me immune to the placebo affect. It didn't.
