Xanax on full stomach

Whenever I take my xanax on full stomach I don't feel it working at all. Curious if I take it sublingual (gag, but still...) will I actually feel the effects or no? Hate wasting it after I eat, just figuring out how to get it to work on full stomach.. Any advice!? Thanks

In my opinion sublingual will work, it bypasses your gastric system and doesnt have to struggle through your body and go through first pass metabolism, it will act quickly and having a full or empty stomach should make no difference.

Someone with more experience may come along and provide a better answer but that's my 2p

^you're absolutely correct. using the sublingual method of administration will circumvent this issue.

I tried it sublingual and it barely worked any better. I am literally stumped right now!i i was only on .25 for the longest and it actually had an effect on me.. within 15-20 min i would go from amxious to "whatever". They upped it to 1mg and now, nothing.Tried subl and still nothing...I'm confused as anything..that's a pretty big jump. considering i was off of it for over a year. I'm not tryin to go tp bars but wtf... .25 helped during the day.. told me to take 2 at night which would be .5... up me to the blues and nothing? 1mg should do a helll of a lot more i'd think? :/ coms

you'll often hear with benzodiazepine users, especially in high doses, that they "don't feel anything". perhaps you become more active. more talkative. it happens. quadrupling your dose though should definitely shed some signs. i think alprazolam takes an hour to peak, so wait at that. or maybe 0.250 was a far more effective dosage for you, in which i would recommend you stick to. or at least take half of that 1 mg pill.
