Xanax not working well - Could Phenazepam be the culprit?

Right I got some 1mg Xanax pills yesterday (which are supposed to be great) and I thought they where pretty crap!

They where defiantly not bunk as I gave 1 (in two halves) to a friend yesterday with no benzo tolerance at all and she was smashed lol.

I tried drinking a beer - nothing... I tied hitting the vodka nothing... I even tried another mg of Phenazepam and that did absolutely fuck all I had to resort to a couple of Tramadol's in the end as I was craving G like mad!

Looking at my Phenazepam bottle I have probably done about 60-75mg (roughly) over the past year and a bit (but not all to my self, loads went to mates for comedowns etc. )

I can definitely feel 1mg but very lightly and have double dropped 2mgs and that didn't do the trick either They where better than Temazepam but not by a lot. I have got better effects of Phenaz and Soma tbh.

Is it because I have over-used G, got a tolerance to Penazepam or am I just naturally tolerant to benzos?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Also just to let you peeps know I can't get drunk anymore but I think that is due to GBL

Usually 0.5mg - 2mg depending. Very Occasionly 3 or 4mg but never more at once (but seeing as it stays in your system a long time it might add up to more).

And yes G is GBL.

Don't worry I just don't think I was taking enough lol I took 2mgs with a shot of vodka with a bit of Phenaz in my system from the last couple of days (got the week off work) and I could really feel them! Very nice not as good as G but pretty damn good!

GHB/GBL Works on the GABA-B System, so you should still be able to get drunk just fine since Alcohol & Benzodiazepines work on the GABA-A receptor sites. Not sure why you aren't feeling the Xanax, Phenazepam fucked up a lot of things for me, so I am thinking that it has done something with your tolerance perhaps. Stay clear of Phenazepam, IMO. Good luck mate!

Weird about the Alcohol thing then as I can easily drink a bottle of vodka and not get passed tipsy I don't drink often but I used to easily get drunk of £10 pounds worth of booze... Now that wouldn't do much at all, It's not that I can't feel it, it's just that I only get a 'mild' buzz Ketamine is a lot weaker for me than it used to be too (got some really great stuff at the moment) so maybe I've just over-done it

I think your right though Phenaz is probably the cause of it all so I'm going to go on a detox for a few months (or longer) and see if that helps.

It's said to be good becuz of its short duration and relatively high strength. But those of us who have a tolerance may not find it so amazing. I haven't tried it, I'm sure 5mg would at least do something for me. I'd probably go with 5mg my first time, as my benzo tolerance is now at about 1/5 (up from infinity!)

well alcohol is a gaba agonist, so it should have cross-tolerance with most (or all) of the benzos. I had a huge benzo tolerance but I could still get drunk after a six pack. Then again I remember a week or two week period when I got wasted from 15 shots of some spirit but then it only got me drunk. It was a good thing though because who likes a bad hangover? I have pretty much dropped getting drunk as I cant deal with the taste and amount of liquid anymore, especially knowing what a stupid drug it is.
