xanax + methadone - best dose/ dose timing

Hey all, I'm on my phone so ill keep this short. I've used klonopin on my methadone (currently on 80mg MMT), and it was pretty cool - no problems. (Used up to 5mg kpin spaced out in 24 hrs) But I just ran into 6 2mg bars of xanax today.
Now I was wondering how much xanax I would have to take to feel that opiate bliss (heard xanax was THE BEST) and not have any CNS issues. (I'm guessing either 1mg or 2mg at once) Also I was wondering WHEN I should take the bars. 30 mins before I dose? 30 minutes after? An hour after?
Also, just to note tolerance - I have been taking klonopin the past week, anywhere from 1mg to 5mg daily. Not sure how much that would effect my overall benzo tolerance, but before this week I never took benzos.
Thanks guys, I hope you will look at this at a harm reduction POV because its going to happen, I just need advice as I'd rather not die.....lol

Ps - i tried to post this to other drugs but it asked me for some prefix that I couldn't find....not sure what was up with that.

I heard xanax and kpins are equal mg to mg? Maybe that person was wrong. I know a lot more deaths happen with xanax so there must be some truth in that. I'm thinking of taking a 1mg dose of xanax with my morning 80mg methadone and see how that works out
 
Xanax hits you a lot harder and a lot faster than klonopin. They just work differently. Klonopin is all day relief xanax is usually for panic attacks and only lasts a couple of hours.
 
Unless anyone tells me differently, imma take a 2mg bar about 30 minutes after I dose. Hopefully some great effects will be felt :)
 
From a harm reduction point of view, I can't recommend taking any benzo with methadone. Using them that close together will likely make you sleep. The combination could be lethal, especially if you've never taken Xanax before.
 
I've taken xanax before here and there. Ths past week I've been taking medium doses of clonazepam (up to 6mg a day) so I'm assuming my tolerance has raised because of that. But we'll see. Ill report tomorrow and let yall know how 2mg xanax and 80mg methadone feel.
 
In reguards to your last post OP I would say go head with the the dose you intended. 30 mins after your methadone, a hour later if you feel necessary add 1mg.
 
Thanks a lot ovo. I was also wondering timing, so you're saying I should take 2mg xanax 30mins after I dose, and if I'm not feelin it after an hour add 1mg?

I think i can maybe i can help with this question :). I've been on klonopin for 2-3 years and at one point was heavily into methadone so i'll share what doses i'd recommend based off what you stated your tolerance is. Xanax its harder , faster , and stronger than klonopin , so if you're taking 4Mg of klonopin i suggest 2MG of xanax. If you don't feel it within an hour take another MG . But starting off with 2MG of xanax is what i'd suggest , 3MG if you really are paranoid about it kicking in.
 
Aside from the obvious danger of overdose, many people become heavily dependent upon benzodiazepines and methadone. Once one has experienced the power of the combination, you hear "My dose just doesn't hold me unless I take a benzo with it". This leads to myriad problems for the user. For one, benzodiazepines are the "black spot" when on MMT. Their use can get you booted quite easily. Also, the long-acting effects of methadone are rather hard to judge, even for an experienced user. You may think that you're okay, when in reality, you're slowly slipping into overdose.
 
Thanks trolling! Now WHEN should I take my xanax? 30 minutes after I dose? An hour after? 2 hours? This was a big problem I had yesterday that fucked up my high and I ended up being like fuck it and taking 3.0 mg plus half a klonopin which was too much and I just fell asleep. And it was spread out like t+15, t+1hr, t+3hrs, and t+5 hrs and I felt like it was just all wasted because I just didn't dose it correctly bc I just fell asleep half the time and the other half walked around like I was extrememely drunk as FUCK, like I scared my girl off so much that she no longer wants to stay at her gparents house (that I'm currently living at) for the week they're out of town. I'm thinking of taking 2mg xanax 1.5/2 hours after I dose. What do yall think? Also now after last nights stint I only have 4 sticks + 1mg and 10 1mg kpins. Ugh. And yeah I know its dangerous man trust me I used to be on iv heroin taking 2 - 3 sticks at a time. Very stupid but I'm taking it slow and asking my fellow BLers this time! Well, there's always tomorrow (technically todays) dose of methadone! 80 mg orange wafers swallowed dry :)

How did it go today Seanimal? I think you should take 2mg after 30 mins of your methadone dose, add 1mg after a hour from the first dose. And after 30 minutes if still not content add another 1mg. So 4mg in total in a 2 hour span after you have taken your methadone.
 
Haha seems ovo and I posted at around the same time :) read the above statement and you'll see how it went!
 
Actually, after counting what I have left again, it turns out I had taken 2 sticks (4mg) xanax and 3/4 klonopin (.75mg). Way too much for me as I have discovered. Very stupid! The thing with xanax is after I take my first bar I want to keep taking more but it ends up being too much and I fall asleep and/or act like I took 12 shots of vodka. Jeez. Tomorrow I am absolutely limiting myself to ONE bar (2mg) and POSSIBLY half a kpin.
What do you guys think? Would a low dose of kpin along with 2mg xanax synergize well? Or is it just not worth it and it will knock me on my ass like yesterday?
When I took just kpins with my methadone, I felt sooo good. It didn't "knock me on my ass" per say, but it knocked me on my feet! I could enjoy life so well, I was so happy, and I could nod out if I sat down. Maybe if this 2mg xanax doesn't work tomorrow, I will try 1mg the next day, then just say fuck it and stick with the kpins:) we shall see! What are my fellow BLer's opinions on this?
