Xanax- Is what exactly?

I'm in England. With xanax. Anyone fill me in on the exact Brit equivalent? I've been told its like Valium but stronger, possibly mogadon. Anyone get more exact? Not qualludes are they? Any help appreciated.

All I know its a pill prescribed for anxiety, it comes in footballs and bars. Some friends have gotten prescriptions because they are anxious and hypocondriachs. All I know is after taking a couple it will relax the shit out of yah. Sometimes people like to mix them with alcohol, which is ok, but if you want to remember anything from the prior night I wouldnt recomend it. Hope this helps some,

it's a 'benzodiazepine'. its pharmaceutical name is 'alprozolam'. it's a faster acting CNS depressant than valium, ativan, klonopin and the like. (all benzodiazepines - 'benzos') useful for quick relief from anxiety.

just take 2-3mg ,you will feel like your 3/4 way drunk,or youll fall asleep ,you cant OD on xanax alone but with alcahol it is entirely POSSIBLE,so whatch the alcahol intake

2-3mg with someone who doesn't know shit about it... You're OFF YOUR ROCKER. DOOD... 1.5mg is a fair recreational dose for the non-tolerant person.
I can guarentee that 2-3mg.. especially 3mg with NO alcohol will end with amnesia. It sucks to wake up with a huge bruise on your side and three empty boxes of whippets in your garbage can... not having any idea that you did em all.
take 1mg.. drink a few beers, then take maybe another half and you'll be cool.. you'll probaly stumble around and act like an ass to the amusement of your friends, but isn't that the goal? Have fun and don't operate heavy machinery.

3mg my first time did not result in amnesia. I've never heard of amnesia without alcohol. I know someone who has taken 15mg without amnesia. I was not incredibly fucked up after 3mg either, but maybe that's just me. Infact I just got tired fast, fought sleep for a couple hours then slept hard as hell for 10 hours.
