xanax is there a difference between generics

I recently got my xanax script filled at a different pharmacy. The one I used to use had a different generic but this pharmacy is yet a different generic and I find it works better and quicker. Not sure which generic I received this time but it works but better. Is there a difference between generics and there mechanisim of action? I also wanted to know if taking it with provigil makes the high more manageable? I like the combo but since its not quite a stimulant would this be a good combination? I don't want to ruin the high but at the same time I was wondering is this would give me a good boost? Any thoughts or experiences? Thanks. Sarah
 
Yea I find there's a difference. I always liked a certain brand better than others... especially in panic attack situations. The faster it kicks in the better.. Everyone has their preferance.. but really xanax is xanax is xanax... I also like certain valiums better than others and klonopins. Some companies make things better but at the end of the day it's the same drug.... You can request that brand from now on if you want too.

If you want to know what generic look on the bottle it should have the manufacturers same on it. You can also call the pharmacy and ask. I prefer Mallenkroft Roxicodone so I asked my pharmacy to always give me that. There's another company that puts a waxy like coating on it which I find it doesn't work as fast so when my pain kicks up and I need it to work fast it doesn't work as fast as the Mallenkroft. Oh well Mboxes are superior.

nowhere did i said i lost 68lbs in two weeks i said i tryed for 2weeks to work on my addiction but i lost 68lbs from my addiction meaning from my use of opiates 6-9months i have lost that amount of weight.

And for your question.
I will answer professionally and not judge you and read your question correctly and throughly..
IMO, there is no difference.
 
btw, as you are probably aware, Xanax withdrawls are nothing to play aroung with, Benzo withdrawl is the worst withdrawl you can possibly go through due to health reasons, Iv dropped taking seziures from benzo withdrawl.

but you should suggest a different med.
IMO. Buspar works even amount as xanax.,
Just doesnt work as fast.
 
Supposedly there is a 0.2 +/- difference between generic drugs and their brands (a matter of quality control in the more well funded laboratories).

ie - a generic 1mg alprazolam could be .8 / .9 / 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2mg by this margin.

I forget where I read this, but it's out there, use the search engine, because it may even be on this site.
 
^^ yah i acctually herd something about that before, but I personally havent noticed a difference, I use to take 7-9 mg of xanax a day, I was heavenly addicted.
clean now off benzos for a year.
 
I never noticed a difference either at the dosages I was taking. When you get to dosages like those....there's no difference, really...lol.

I really have no idea what you're talking about I don't acuse anyone of anything. I like to consider myself a nice girl so I'm not sure where this is coming from.

I think it he was talking to someone else. They all seem the same to me. Some may dissolve a little quicker, but I chew them up anyway so it doesn't matter.
 
Ive noticed a total difference from someone who has been perscribed both generics and regular 4 bars (and those new green 3 bars)

They pink and blue football pills do the job, and work well as xanax, but the bars work much better overrall in overrall potency and what your getting out of the drug.

Sometimes the bars work a little TOO good though so watch yourself.

Funny how ive never blacked out off generics, and have taken more than the amount of blacked out on those new green bars or regular bars. Maybe thats a good thing....

But overrall the original bars look and work better, but that doesn't mean the generics are not good, ive used them plenty of times and have helped greatly.

Try and get ahold of those green bars tho...man those things are monsters
 
Yes, bars REALLY are stronger than footballs. Especially pink footballs. Those seem weak to me, like half a blue football.;)

I meant the same dosage, I was hoping everyone was well aware a bar is 2mg, I meant taking the equivilent amount (4=.5=1bar) compared to just taking a bar.

Actually, the pink footballs feel weak to me as well, kinda like taking 1/4 of a bar, crazy huh ;)

In fact, I feel like the white 0.25's, when I take 8 of them, almost feels like taking an entire bar! Although taking the actual bar feels a bit stronger when taking it itself as compared to 8 white footballs...hmmm.... so maybe that answers the persons question!

But IDK what the differences are, but each one is better than the other. And they're all supposed to have 2mg Xanax. hah,

Here's the best list in ORDER.

#1 Pfizer (OF COURSE brand names will ALWAYS best)
#2 Greenstone
#3 Sandoz
#4 Actavis (Yellow bars) (WAS) It's a round WATSON NOW
#5 DAVA (Green bars)
