Xanax, heroin and cocaine combo worried about a friend..

So my buddy popped 2 and a half bars today (5mg) and was super faded. Incoherent, everything that goes along with it. He then decided to pick up some black/white(he's an IV user) . I discouraged him from doing so but he did anyways.
About an hour after taking the bars, he decided to do a shot of about *snip* worth of cocaine. However at this point he was leaving, going with another acquaintance who claimed he'd "look after him"
I warned my friend to wait to do any of the h until after the Xanax had worn off but I doubt he took my advice.
At this point , I've called him 3 times to check up on him and no answer.

My question here is what are your guys experiences with benzos/heroin? Dangerous combination, or should I not be worried about him?

depends on how experienced he is, but generaly not very safe

5 mg is quite a hefty amount for someone without a tolerance, hell, even someone with a tolerance would feel that pretty heavily. The mix of benzos and opiates is probably the most lethal of all mixtures. In short, yes, I'd be very worried about him.

At this point it's too late for any immediate help, you can only hope that he had the smarts to hold off on the H until after the xanax left his system. Or that he has a rather high tolerance to both drugs.

The fact that he wasn't returning your call is probably because he was passed out from the combination. Please keep us updated on his status.

Mixing benzos (esp. at that high of a dose) with heroin (esp. IV) is a very dangerous combination for sure.

Is there any way of getting in touch with the aquaintance your friend went off with? As already said if he shot the h that is definitely a very dangerous combination but by now tis too late to get any immediate help - just gotta hope his mate looked after him and/or he didn't do the h while he was so benzod..

Even tho the timescale for immediate help has passed I still think it's definitely worth trying really hard to get in touch with him and check he's okay, and get medical help to him if he needs it. Hopefully he just passed out and is fine, fingers crossed.

Don't blame yourself, you advised him not to, not much else you could have done - but in future if there is any risk of anyone ODing I think you always need to do everything possible to stop them and stay with them in case they need medical help, even if it seems like you are overreacting or being too cautious. Benzos and heroin are an extremely dangerous combination, especially in large quantities or when pinning. The problem with coke too is it can mask the sedation for a while leading to a false sense of security, but when the effects wear off it can leave the person dangerously oversedated.
