xanax dosage

Hi

Sorry if I have asked this before and I know its subjective but what is a good recreational dose of Xanax? I have been on about 20mgs of Valium for about a year so have some tolerance to benzos but want a good night without passing out or od.

I've also taken about 300mgs of tramadol but have a big tolerance to them so they don't really hit me.

20mg Valium is approx. equal to 2mg Xanax. You'll probably feel the Xanax moreso than the Valium (as Xanax is a much quicker acting benzo than Valium is).

Correction, its actually closer to 1mg Xanax, I need to check my own charts ;)

I thought 10mg valium was = to .5 of xanax. So 20mg would be half a bar . Im not sure though, either way xanax is much stronger so start with a full 2mg xanax bar.
 
Thanks for the quick replies I have the .50 tabs is it OK to mix with tramadol I might throw a 5mg Valium into the mix or a 1mg etizolam or both lol or is this pushing it a bit. I'm staying at home with the girlfriend all night so will just be on the sofa.
 
I've mixed tramadol and xanax..w/no problems.
But I'd never tell somebody else to mix anything..
After saying that...
If I had the .5's..I would take 2 and see how I felt.
All meds are different for everybody.
Xanax works great for what it's made for..
they've never been recreational for me.
But they're God's gift to other ppl.
Just start low..you can always take more..you can't go back.
Although you're used to the tram..it's still there, and mixing them w/xanax will
add to the drowsiness.
It's good you're staying home.
I'm jealous..today would be a great valium day..:\

10mg diazepam = .5mg alprazolam



but i find 3 bars ( or 120mg diazepam ) and 2-3 beers enjoyable.

diazepam is the only "euphoric" benzo I have ever had

Temazepam is more recreational than diazepam (Valium) and about as recreational as alprazolam (Xanax)...but in the end its a matter of personal preference and in the end they are all benzos so...
 
^Some people, like Tommyboy, report 10mg diazepam being equivalent to 1mg alprazolam, so it's subjective, depending on what you're expecting out of the "high."

Either way, I think diazepam is a lot more euphoric than alprazolam, so even if 20mg Valium = 1mg Xanax, 20mg of Valium will be a hell of a lot more euphoric than 1mg of Xanax; after all, Temazepam (my favorite benzo) is one of its metabolites :)
