xanax dosage

So I found this empty bottle on the street. And it was scripted for some # (it was scraped off) and they were 2mg alprozolam. The instructions said take 1 4 times a day. My question is, who the hell do they prescribe that dosage to?
 
Yeah, my mom has been on 2mg on xanx 3 times a day for the past year. Damn. Isn't 2mg the highest dosage you can get?
 
Are you sure that it wasn't 1 - 4 times daily? 14 times daily would be quite alot, perhaps thats why the script bottle was dropped. I would be a freaking zombie.

2mg isn't a common dose, but for some it is prescribed .. if you found a bottle on the street with the info scraped off, it was probably that of some scripters (ie bought off someone or prescribed from a croaker...)
