Hey everyone, just had a quick question to ask. I took 2mg Xanax last night (with zero tolerance). I felt pretty good, listened to some music, played some video games feeling pretty relaxed. Went to bed about 2 hours after, slept great. Woke up the next morning (got a full 10 hours of sleep) feeling like I was drunk or some shit. Much more of an 'out of it' feeling than I did the night before on the pills. It's been 7 hours later, and I feel completely miserable, almost like a comedown from ecstasy (except without the fried brain feeling). I feel completely miserable and have zero energy, is this normal? I normally don't have a problem with any types of drugs (acid, ecstasy, opioids, amphetamines). Thanks.

I may just pop a couple OP 20's I have stashed away, I don't know how people do this shit all the time lol. The next day makes me feel horrible. I guess you live and learn.

Benzos and alcohol tend to induce depression in those prone to it, and tend to worsen depression in those who are already depressed.

Xanax comes in 0.25-2mg tablets, you took far too much without a tolerance to not feel commonly experienced side effects that come with high-dose benzos, like depression. A more reasonable starting dosage for medicating anxiety for Xanax is 0.125, or for recreation, 0.5mg without a tolerance. I've been physically dependent on benzos for about 12 months in total, not in a row, and have been prescribed them for about two years, and I would never think of taking 1mg of Xanax all at once, let alone a whole 2mg.

This dose-dependent idea is similar as with alcohol: some can't tolerate it, but for most, 1-3 drinks is anxiolytic, while anything more than than that tends to be anxiogenic through significant rebound anxiety and through worsening depression, especially in previous alcoholics or benzo dependent people.

Thanks, appreciate it. I'm just surprised I've never had this kind of rebound on alcohol. I've experienced a pretty good alcohol hangover, but this is blehhh. But once again, thanks.
