Benzos xanax/ativan as a muscle relaxant?

I like to use dxm occasionally but it often causes my jaw muscles to spasm. Would adding a small dose of xanax or ativan help counteract this problem?

Also, the spasms seem to be more frequent if i combine the dxm with weed if that makes a difference. But I'm not doing dxm unless i smoke with it because that makes it exponentially more enjoyable.

Valium is a better muscle relaxant as far as benzos go.......

Ativan would work better as a muscle relaxer between the two.
