Xanax and hydrocodone

I havent taken Xanax in a loooong time. My nerves are on edge I wanted to take a quarter of a bar to relax me a bit. I have to work tonight and I always take 15-20mg of hydrocodone before work. Work is seven hours from now. Is this safe? I'm always paranoid about unsafe drug interactions. I never mix drugs. This isn't mixing though... But it's taking them in the same day...
 
A quarter of a bar isn't much, and alprazolam half-life is short. I don't see any problem with your schedule ;)
 
If you are lacking on sleep in general, you might feel drowsy and might want to take a nap. Not knowing the totality of your situation, I can't tell you if thats good or bad. If you really need the rest I suppose it would be good. If it might make you late for work, well, not so much. I would assume you if are taking hydrocodone before work, it's likely giving you an energy boost . It could go either way .
 
With the effects of alprazolam starting to wear off in that amount of time and the small amount you propose taking I consider this safe.
