Benzos Xanax and alcohol. Important?!

So Ive been drinking tonight(probably about 8 or 9 drinks, I'm pretty drunk) and I thought, hey what would end this great night? A couple drops of the xanax solution I have. Idk why but I took 17 drops, which is about 3mg(quite a bit). I didn't think about the dangers of xanax and alcohol together, since I've taken them together before, but I've taken a large amount of both substances. So I'm kind of scared. Should I be? I'm not really feeling the xanax yet but it'll definitely be soon. This post had to be made with one eye closes and took a lot of autocorrect and edits to make by the way
 
Get someone to stay by your side and make sure you don't choke on your puke. If you feel ill, recovery position. Lay on your side with your arm beside your head.

You should be fine as long as people keep an eye on you and you keep breathing. Xanax and alcohol is a great way to get black out vomiting trashed drunk. Lots of people die that way.

Don't combine xanax and alcohol in future or you will end up in a grave.
 
unfortunately. i cant sa have someone look afte me. Thankfully, I almost never vomit on dangerous amounts of alcohol, beause that would be quite the sight for my parents to wlak into(im 19). I'm feeling more fucked up and i feel like I'm just blacked out an dthat I'll be fine in the morning, but i havent taken doses of each like i have tonight. im assumnig ill be fnie, but could there possibly be any sort of long term damage of what i just did? im scared but eliminated of angst from the xanax, so if i die it'll be peaceful haha....
 
You'll likely be fine in the long term, it's no worse than getting really drunk, but just be sure you keep breathing, yeah?

Sleep on your side if possible.

As someone who uses benzos medicinally to treat extreme chronic anxiety and panic disorder - what they exist for, that is - this bothered me. There's no value in mixing them with alcohol to black out - a blatant example of drug abuse and all-too-common drug seeking behaviour while binge drinking. It seems like a great way to potentiate the stupidity, memory loss, lack of motor control, and unconsciousness of binge drinking... not to mention potentially deadly!

Save the benzos for the morning after... apparently they are great for hangovers, although I haven't had a single drink since I began using benzos and never will again.

@ rave- the dude doesn't need a lecture!! Go take one of your "prescribed " benzos and calm down. People come here to not be judged, do u think the kid wanted to feel like this? As users sometimes we don't think til after the deed is done. It sounded like a good idea to him until after it was too late...
 
I have overdosed twice mixing benzos with alcohol, both times waking up on a stretcher having no clue what was happening. This combination has led me to some of the most regrettable decisions I have ever made. As tempting as it may seem I must advise you steer clear of this. Do as I say not as I do. I still love mixing small amounts of Ativan with alcohol, but in a much more controlled less destructive way.

Passed the FUCK out shortly after my last post, thankfully after realizing what I had done I drank tons of water and have no hangover symptoms yet, so I'm crossing my fingers lol which is weird because it was dispicably cheap vodka lol.

I realize this was a stupid decision, and that a little too much benzo or alcohol = pretty instant blackout. It was no fun and I will not repeat the experience unless I have like 1 or 2 drinks and maybe like 1mg.
Thank you for the support cliffy, yes I did not come here to get judged, I was scared at what had happened and wanted to ease that scare. I had accidentally squirted the solution in my mouth drunkenly instead of easing the drops.

I used to do the same thing, it's like one didn't work without the other. It took contracting a disease from the alcohol usage for me to finally stop. I know how it is man. Anyway good to see you posting again! Have a good day brother :)
