Xanax + Alcohol

Yea so is taking Xanax with Alcohol dangerous??? Im talking low dosage of xanax in the range of .5 to 1.5mgs?
 
depends how much you drink. you should be able to gauge by how tired you are whether you are taking to much. just dont overdo the alcohol and you will be fine.

i think i read that some people have anger issues when combining the two. could be wrong. i dont find it that enjoyable of a combo personally.
 
I don't get euphoria from xanax and alcohol alone (buzzing and shit faced no euphoria at all.) However it gets mildly euphoric when I mix the two. I don't recommend doing to much of either though. My buddy ate two bars and just took like two shots of vodka during the night and ended up blacking out and forcing me to baby sit him.
 
I know thats dangerous and theres fatalitys from that so i wouldnt even take a chance
 
Mixing the two will definitely increase the chance of a black-out. I can barely piece together the events of the night before if I've combined xanax (.5 - 1.5 mg like you) and alcohol. I also only drink in moderation if I mix the two (2-4 drinks max). If you're planning on drinking more, just skip the xanax.

The combo can be dangerous or fatal and if not, inevitably lead you to do things that you seriously regret. And you'll have to hear about all the ludicrous shit you did the night before from your friends. Beware xanax + alcohol texting or drunk-dialing. Seriously.

Some people hide the bottle/extra pills after taking the first dose. It's common for people to wake up in the morning with an empty bottle and they only remember taking 2mgs.

It's a good way to get completely messed up, as in sloppy, stumbling, on your ass messed up. If you like that sort of thing, go for it.
 
one of my friends did this, blacked out, and woke up the next day with a bunch of stolen electronics in his room. had no idea where they came from.

i always limit myself to two beers with xanax. but thats just me.
 
You want to exercise extreme caution. As previous posters stated, this combo can cause some devastating inebriation and equally extreme lapses of judgment. For me, benzo's and alcohol have caused my only regrettable drug-induced behavior (like passing out mid-sentence and falling out of my chair with no warning during a family dinner).

The two drugs lend themselves to blind, crazed blackout adventures which you will not remember, so if you should try it, you'd be advised to do it in private for your first time, and start with SUB-active doses of both, a little goes a very, very long way.
 
Maybe I didnt word the question properly.... I know you can do all sorts of stupid things while under the influence of multiple mind altering substances... my only concern was psychical harm. So is the combo of Xanax+Alcohol toxic to the liver or other organs? I know Alcohol alone is harmful to the liver but does adding Xanax to the mix prove extremely toxic to human organs?
 
If you do enough to hurt your liver, you'll probably stop breathing first. Of course long before that, you'll probably play in traffic or climb a fence into a power substation or any number of other potentially lethal stupid things.
 
Whenever I combine benzos and alcohol I wake up with all or almost all of my bottle gone with no memories whatsoever, and almost always find out I was acting retarded.
 
Drink moderately and leave the benzos at home so you don't start poppin' 'em like candy when you start buzzin' and you should be fine. .5-1.5mg is a low dose for even someone with a low benzo tolerance, mabye don't pass 1mg if you want to be safe.
 
ive had no problems on the body in this situation, except just getting shitfaced fucked up ahah i personally love this combo jus be carefull you don't want to end up in jail for demanding a gas station clerk to pick up your codems yelling the car is in the girl waiting! I take small doses of xanax to help come downs and in this state of mind I usually drink as well.
still alive .-.

obviously a bottle of wodka and 2 mg xanax could be dangerous.
but usually you make an idiot out of yourself before something serious happens.
 
xanax bar, liquor, one hit of acid = one of the dumbest nights of my life.

I was acting so retarded that I got kicked out of the party I was at. I then proceeded to rage out and kick the door down so I could get back in. I was found by a friend walking down the road at 3am barefoot, with no shirt on in the snow.

xanax bar = $5
Booze= $20
Acid = $5
Broken Door and Frame = $300

Fucking up relationships because I'm stupid = priceless

don't mix the two man...or if you do, drink 2-3 beers and kick it at home with your gf watching a movie or playing video games with the bros
