Xanax 1mg IR and Adderall 30mg IR

Okay. So I've been prescribed these for sometime (a year, since I was released from prison) and I keep noticing I'm taking more Xanax daily. I like stuff up my nose and since I TRY not to touch opiates, I compensate with Xanax. Okay. Now here's the question.

Has anyone had ANY experience with Xanax XR? I've been doing upwards of 6-8mg per day (prescribed 3) and I take an Adderall in the morning (skip the second in the afternoon) and I just don't want to build up a huge tolerance to benzos because I know W/D is a bitch. Anyways, for those knowledgeable, please let me know if XR would be more beneficial in my situation and how it worked for you.

I've done the XRs many times back in my xan_fan days lol. I found they weren't good for a rec high so much bc the effects come on so slow. However, I did notice that I didn't find myself reaching for another as soon.
BUT...there is the potential of becoming even more depdependent on it physically bc you could inadvertently keep taking the XRs waiting for the buzz and end up with an even bigger prob on your hands, if that makes sense.
I like them tho On a mini Addy binge right now myself and would LOVE a big XR Xanax tonight lol
