Opioids Wtf happened to me?

This is definitely not sleep paralysis given that it only lasted a few seconds.

I think it's just the 'twitches' that so many of us experience with opiates. My ex girlfriend used to tell me I'd twitch/shake or literally jump off the bed when I tried to sleep on oxycodone. I wouldn't be worried.

I get something almost like this, but when waking up. I don't get any "Humming, roaring, hissing, rushing, zapping, and buzzing noises" It is just my mind wakes up first, and my body can't move yet. I am fully conscious, and it can take me up to15 min to get my body awake. Scarry sometimes. This has been going on since I was a child..??

I've also had sleep paralysis before but there's a difference between that and having violent twitches before going to bed as I do. When I was coming off of xanax, I contributed them to that but now that it's still sparingly happening, I can only think it's an issue with opiates. Maybe years of drug abuse, I don't know. All I can attest to is that they scare me because of the total lack of control I have. Definetly feel like a mini-seizure sometimes. I'd like to hear someone on here talk extensively about these night twitches, because I'm not the only person I know who experiences this.
