WTF happened ? Scary shit

Long story short I had a couple bags and i was going to IV one . Clean spoon , new rig , new cotton from inside a CVS bag, Brita filter water . I heated the shot very lightly , it's good shit but it seperates a bit of whatever dude was cutting it with ( east coast powder) .Anyway I do my shot , feels great , and I go to do a rinse , I suck up 50 units squirt it in the spoon , stir it around , suck it up through the same cotton sitting in the spoon ( still basically new ..) and shoot.

After like 5-10 seconds I feel an Ice cold sensation in the middle of my chest and it gets harder and harder to breathe to the point i couldn't catch my breath and I was seriously hyper-ventilating , I jumped up out of my chair out of some panic response and for some reason my first instinct was to go outside , I grab the house phone off the counter , I'm breathing gasping breaths at this point like 10 times a second and I'm this close to calling 911 since I thought I was going to pass out , then slowly my breath started coming back , I was profusely sweating at this point and I just held my head under the cold water from the sink for a couple minutes ( which felt amazing ) and after a few minutes of that I felt okay ( ruined my high a bit .. ) Does anyone know what the fuck happened ? I don't think it was cotton fever as the whole thing of not being able to breathe maybe last 10-15 seconds . It scared the shit out of me though

It sounded like cotton fever, but if you don't think it was it could have been an OD or a contaminated shot. I would say to only use clean (new) cotton for every shot here on out... Glad to hear you are OK.

That's what I thought but I read cotton fever lasted for a few hours if not more , The whole thing lasted maybe 30 seconds . Everything was clean except for a reused cotton , which was clean and only reused for a rinse like 20 seconds later . Oh well . Maybe it's a sign to stop doing this shit

What kind of Brita filter is it? If it goes into a pitcher then I wouldn't use it because they can get dirty pretty easily since most people don't clean them often enough. Straight tsp water might be safer to use than out of a pitcher like that. Even if it's a faucet filter I don't know if that helps much.
