Hey guys I'm a recovering opiate addict and as part of my recovery I have decided to include writing. I'm starting with a blog if anyone is interested the link will be at the end of this post. I would love to hear comment from you guys. Anything from your opinon on the happenings in my life to critiquing my writing style!!! Healthy living seemed like a good place to post this if not would a moderator please steer me in the right direction? Thank you!!! :)

Thanks a lot I really appreciate it. I'll have a new post up soon I got accepted at a suboxone doctor my first appointments are monday and tuesday I'm really excited! If you want to you should follow my blog it will let email you I think to tell you about updates :)

Well started on my suboxone today. I think I really found an amazing doctor. He is a nice guy that actually seems to understand us. He gave me my first 4mgs in his office after he assesed my withdrawal symptoms. Then he did a physical examination while we waiting for the sub to dissolve. Afterwards he talked to me about my life and events leading up to my addiction then sent me on my way with another 4 mgs and a script for 5 more pills. I'm supposed to take 4 mgs every time I feel like my withdrawl symptoms are beginning to come back to detemine what dosage i should be on. I go back to see him tomorrow. I'm very happy :)

My sister is in rehab now and she is using writing as part of her therapy. I guess it works or is helping. I've gotten some really surprising, soul searching letters. Snail mail, no internet in rehab.

I never even thought she had a soul to tell you the truth but writing seems to be very therapeutic.

Haven't been active lately at all been feeling very sick flu like since tuesday... I'm not sure if it's the suboxone or what but I'm not enjoying it hope this passes soon.

I use writing as a way of dealing with stress and upsets in my life. Mine is all kept for myself as a tool basically to help me make sense out of things or work through whatever it may be. keep up writing wether it is in a blog or post it notes in a drawer whatever helps you the best.
