Benevolent adventure;
terror reaping,
haunted victim's grasp.
Swallow hard,
through sweaty palms,
for Time's due mercy has elapsed.
Throw away your diction.
Place your head between your knees and pray.
Take your bow.
Leave the room.
My words may slay your brain today.

Thank you both. I wrote this, on a whim, after an exhausting day. It may be a little hard to decipher my metaphors, yet to me it makes perfect sense!

the best poems are like that, mysterious to the reader, leaving the meaning open.. yet making perfect sense to the writer.. I still like it :)

i actually did a little cheer when i saw you had posted. and i was not dissapointed. "my words may slay your brain today"
