Hello everyone. I've read posts from this site for years but have never joined. Looks like I finally have. Just relocated to another state. Moved my family here for a new job opportunity. It's been half a year since leaving Cali. Where I grew up. Just got laid off work a few days ago. It's a hard pill to swallow. Does anyone else feel like nothing ever goes right for them? I abusing opioids plays a role. But even when sober and doing good, it's like it can never ever last. It's like I can never see anything through or stay motivated. Perhaps this is more to do with the root causes of why I use in the first place. Anyways.....

Sorry to hear that you have lost your job especially after the upheaval of moving states. I always try and look at things as - it happens for a reason. Some times its for the worse at that time but hopefully something good will come from it.

We have a section called the 'Dark Side' maybe get the underlying reasons of your use off your chest in there and see if anyone has gone through the same thing or get some other coping mechanism etc.

I hope things turn around for you and your family in the very near future.
