Wow is all I can say, I have a new found respect for caffeine after quitting cold turkey 12 days ago. The first week was the worst, lingering headaches for a week straight(and not being able to take asprin because it has caffeine in it!) and also bad stomach cramps and lower back pains. Fast forward to day 12, I had a mild headache today but stopped when I ate an orange and took all my multi vits which include inositol, l-tyrosine, and l-carnitine.

The thing is, I also quit my adderal weekly habit of 20mg 3x a week habit as well, which is why I stopped caffeine really, I decided I wanted to give my body a full recharge in dopamine and healing naturally, so I quit addy, caffeine and alcohol altogether. I still have some lower back cramps, and maybe a small stomach ache at night... but for the most part it's gone... but not 100% even after 12 days! wtf??

So i'm not 100% sure what these withdrawal symptoms are now since I stopped everything relatively around the same time. I have never quit adderal before and have only been taking it 2-3x a week for about 3 months @20mg so it doesn't sound likely that it could be from the adderal? Im not sure though because i've never taken amps before.

Also, i've been taking about 200-300mg of caffeine a day for about 4 months now, I had no idea that the energy juice packets i'd been taking everyday was loaded with taurine, guarana, yerba mate extract, green tea extract, cocoa extract, and 50mg of 'naturally occuring caffeine'. so thats about 2-4 cups of coffees worth of caffeine a day??

Granted I probably shouldn't have quit caffeine cold turkey, I should have slowly weened off, stupid mistake that I won't make next time that's for sure! I am planning on going back on adderal on tuesday, which will be after a 2 week total break from addy... I just want these damn WD symptoms to go away! :(

Also, anyone else every take L-Tyrosine, Inositol, and/or L-Carnitine to help with tolerance/dopamine levels? I also plan to start taking magnesium starting tomorrow. Any help appreciated! <3

Give it a few more days for the caffeine withdrawal to disappear. I'd say that any lingering effects after that are more likely to be due to amphetamine.

It really is an underestimated chemical both in terms of effects and withdrawals. I think that many peoples' anxiety issues are caffeine related and the withdrawal headaches fool people into continuing daily use. Magnesium should help you out as caffeine will increase your likelihood of being deficient in it. You might want to combine L-Tryptophan with vitamin B6 or possibly get some 5-HTP to boost serotonin levels, which should help with the headaches.

If it gets bad take a benzo. Just don't take it to much unless you wanna trade addictions.

Yeah, most likely both. That is a fairly large amount of caffeine per day, and an abrupt deficit of it is almost guaranteed to result in headaches and lethargy. And even though you weren't taking the Adderall every day, three times a week is still enough for your body/mind to become more or less dependent.

Also, just for reference, not all aspirin contains caffeine. But honestly, I take ibuprofen for headeaches. Just works best for me, and no caffeine.

Yeah its probably just the fact that I quit everything abruptly and at the same time. All I can say is, caffeine is a crazy drug man. I definitely wont go back to my daily habit, maybe just some green tea once a week for the anti oxidant boost but thats it.

Anyone every with draw from adderal? Id like to know how long you took it, how often, MG, and what the WD symptoms were like. Thanks so much.
