Would you take drugs when you're sick?

I'm coming down with a stomach virus that's been going around. But I was planning to take acid and go to the park today and wondered if I should still do it. Do you still use drugs when you're sick? Are some better tolerated than others?

It all depends on the sickness, and the drug. If I were in your situation, I would wait until you were feeling better.

I'd wait for another time if I were you. I'd never take acid if I were sick. If I'm having the flu or a cold I'll take amphetamines, as they help and some other sicknesses I'll take opiates.

Weed and/or opiates are much better when sick.

Never use a psychedelic when sick. You have to be in a good place mentally when you trip.


I can't really speak on the amphetamines.......They make me too damn jittery and I can't stand the feeling so I don't touch them.

Opiates do a great job covering up the symptoms of cold/flu for me.........although I am an opium junkie so I think they are great for everything lol......

Amphetamines help cold and flu because they dry up all your mucus membranes and because they get you energized and euphoric. All of these things sufficiently mask a cold or flu. Opiates cure any sickness for me as well though haha

Acid when you're sick is a terrible idea. You should be healthy mentally & physically when doing acid.

I'd think opiates would be great for common cold, and the flu in some cases. I don't have personal experience, but they do everything you'd need done for a cold or flu (stomach flu not included). They would take away aches, and pains, take away cough, lift mood and make you content, help with chills, stop diarrhea, give energy (maybe). Benzos would help with relaxing your body, and mind, helping with sleep, calming you down. Amphetamines might be okay, might. But definitely not acid, bad idea.

I wouldn't use amphetamines when sick just because I feel like they'd reduce the immune system by putting my body in fight or flight mode.... definitely save the acid for a good day though

Acid is just a bad idea, any hallucinogenic would be a bad idea, psychedelics included except maybe marijuana.

Opiates are the cure all to everything.

Mushrooms helped with your opiate withdrawals? Never heard that one before. Never tried taking hallucinogenics for opiate withdrawals so wouldn't know.

I have before. Marijuana worked wonders for me during a stomach virus.

But acid during an illness? Save it. :D

I smoke pot when I'm sick. It doesn't do wonders for my lungs but it makes me feel a lot better.

Mary jane usually helps me out when sick, if smoking is an option, like stomach sickness and nausea......might take benzos if I fwelin that way, depressed maybe sad....usually alleviates my symptoms. Save the acid!!

marijuana reduces nausea, so that can actually help..

then it depends on how sick... a bit of a bad tummy will keep me away from alcohol, but something like lsd will be ok... nothing thats hard on the stomache like shrooms or 5-meo-DMT....

if i'm vomiting i won't take anything but cannabis and ciggs...

if i have a fever i really ain't in a mood to take drugs anyway

Anything but a stomach sickness opiates are effective. marijuana is good when your sick.
