seeing how it causes a cannabis like effect(except a little more trippy), would you consider nutmeg to be psychedelic?

also, idk why people call it a deleriant. to some the effects may be unpleasent but it just doesn't have the effects of an anticholinergic like datura or diphenhydramine(seeing people and spiders that aren't there, smoking imaginary cigarettes, etc.).

I'm not sure. They call it a deliriant, and it feels that way sometimes, but it also feels quite psychedelic and dissociative too. It's a bizarre experience.

Nutmeg has a creative high. It radically alters your thinking and language. I've found that musical ideas come easily on it. When I take it, I'm creating art and writing poetry non-stop.

My primary concern is over the safety. I'm just not sure how dangerous it is to trip on Nutmeg. I'd like to know for sure. My second concern is over the duration of the trip and the after effects. You will be high for 3 days straight. After that, you will feel more tired than you've ever felt and you could easily sleep 12 or more hours.

If Nutmeg had a quicker come up, shorter duration, and a better reputation for safety, it would be quite popular.

Hm, there isn't exactly a wealth of information out there. It's moderately interesting, but the side effects sound shitty.

Ego waffles and Crack hoes

It has a few characteristics of psychedelics but some would call it a deliriant. Depends on circumstances I would say

Its definitely a deliriant. The one and only time I did it, I almost walked right off the side of a cliff when my grandmother decided it would be great to go for a trip to the mountains... and it lasts forever... I did have some MDA-like feelings and visuals but I was so fucking sick I never touched it again.

It made me see green blobs of energy in the air for one night and then left me tired as hell for the next few days. It certainly felt psychedelic to me.Maybe not entirely enjoyable with how dry my mouth got and how fish eyed I felt...but I was in a strange headspace, and very giddy too. I felt like I was floating a bit at times when I was laying in my bed and staring at the green blobs of energy the first night, but I also felt very weighed down by tiredness and sleep. It was rough getting through it and finally feeling normal again after so several days of feeling extremely lethargic. I guess I think of this as a trip in a sense...it took 3 days to process through me until at the last day's end I felt sort of back to normal. During that time I was in a sleep environment most of the time, and while I don't recall them now, I do recall having dreams during a lot of those sleep periods over the 3 days. So is it a psychedelic? Does it manifest the mind? Not sure I can say it did that as the mindset was sort of a groggy Beavismind...just kind of giggling at nonsense and then returning to drooling and trancing out/falling back asleep, but it did what it did, and I can certainly see people having used this nutmeg for ritual and divination purposes in the past. It's silly getting hung up on the names for things, but I would say it's not a true psychedelic, but as an inebrient it shares a handful of qualities with psychedelics.
