First off, Im sorry if this is in the wrong section as I am very high and dont know were to put this. Anyway I was bought a distillation setup for a chemistry class. I am wondering If set up correctly, could I use this to say distill alcohol out of mouthwash, vanilla extract,ect...(anything that contain ethanol alcohol) I attached a picture of what the setup looks like. If so what are the dangers and what would I have to do, to do this right. Thanks

Why do you want to "distill" the alchohol out of mouthwash or vanilla extract?

You could just buy some alcohol.
 
Im 18 man. And Im broke as fuck so even though I have friends to buy it for me, its not like I have money to. A fifth doesn't go very far for me. So im hoping it that its cheaper to get mouthwash and get almost pure alcohol.
 
so your planning on drinking the alcohol you extract from these things?

are you an alcoholic?.....im not trying to be rude, most people on this website has atleast one addiction....I, for one, was a heroin addict until recently.

Im asking this because what your trying to do isn't normal behavior for someone who isnt addicted to alcohol.

*Oh, and for the record....im almost postitive the acohol that they put in mouthwash, etc...isnt alcohol that you can drink, so im pretty sure that the alcohol that you will extract from it will not be able to be drunk either. It more than likely will damage your esophagus, and possibly other organs.
 
Yeah I would at least try it if I knew it was safe and didnt have the wrong kind of alcohol in it. And yeah I drink a lot. You could say im an alcoholic as its almost impossible for me to stop drinking once im drunk.

Ok thats fine, but i still dont think your looking in the right places to aquire your alcohol....

like I said...the alcohol in mouthwash is "non-potable". Basically, dont drink it....even if you extract it out.

If you need to drink that bad why dont you just go ask for change in front of a gas station....it would honestly be more effcetive at getting you drunk.

Or....you could have spent the money you used to buy the chemistry set up....on alcohol. or maybe you can sell the chemistry set for cash.

....anything but drinking mouthwash alcohol.
 
I didn't buy it. It was bought for me by one of my old teachers thats been a friend for awhile that chill and is setting me up with a chemistry class so I could actually get and keep a job. I cant sell it. He would be pissed and doesn't really know I drink and I rather not have him find out. Why couldn't you drink the alcohol in mouthwash? If its ethanol, and multiple distilled the right way? Im pretty sure its not denatured alcohol. Any other suggestions? Making mash with just yeast and sugar and distilling that?
 
honestly im not even an alcohol kind of guy...in fact i was born with a problem with the enzymes in the acid in my stomache(or liver I cant remember)...i cant properly break down alcohol or some shit like that....so every time I drink it I get sick to my stomache. So i obviously dont have much alcohol experience. But ask me a question about any other drug known to mankind and I can probably help you out.....

....hopefully someone more knowledgeable will pop up and give you soem good advice...until then, please stay away form the mouthwash.
 
Damn man alright. Thanks anyway and for the advice. Ha im pretty knowledgeable about alot of drugs too. I use to like study erowid on a daily basis ha.
 
yea erowid was my shrine for a few years....i even used to memorize the experience reports. pathetic.

but luckily i have been able to actually DO most of the drugs that are on erowid. especially the better ones....i.e.......heroin, cocaine, lsd, meth, oxy, fentanyl, etc, etc...etc...
 
Yep Yep. Iv tired H, crack not coke, shrooms, amphet, I was addicted to opiates like oxy and dillys for about a year. ODed on xanax twice.... I would like to try acid or just maybe fet.
 
I dont know what "fet" is but acid is UNBELIEVABLE......there really is no way to describe it other than undescribable. Its an experience/world/dimension/time warp/etc......all of its own.
 
meh my buddies who actually know what it is call fentanyl, fet. Well the last time i tried to buy acid I spent 30 buck for 2 hits of colored, serrated edge note card paper in some foil....
 
Wow I'm still laughing at the idea of extracting ethanol from vanilla extract. Do you have any idea how expensive that stuff is other issues aside?
 
yea i wouldnt buy acid from anyone other than a trusted friend....and i would check with him/her where she got it form as well. Ive been lucky....ive never gotten bad acid. in fact I once knew a guy who somehow got a hold of vials and vials of it and for a few bucks he would drop like 2-3 drops on your tounge/eye/wherever. And trust me, 1 hit was enough to throw you into another world.....2 hits was enough to throw you into SEVERAL other dimensions....and 3 hits, well....I dont even have words to describe.....life changing?
 
That crazy man and yeah I beat the shit out of that kid. Everyone knows him as the sketchy fake ass drug dealer. My drug of choice would be crack if I had a steady connect. Its pure fucking euphoria.

there has been some very silly things said in this post. You should focus your ambition on school or something, not getting drunk off mouthwash or (lol) vanilla extract.

this is true....but the OP stated that he was an alcoholic, so that is not quite so easy to achieve as it sounds. I think he should more than likely get help in some form, whether its AA meetings or just family support, or something similar. basically i think he should try to get clean. Alcoholism is one of the most debilitating addictions, as well as one of the most dangerous. I would imagine hes past the point where he can try to focus on school since hes allready trying to figure out ways to extract the alcohol from mouthwash and vanilla extract. Sounds like hes in a really bad place.

Once he gets clean then school would probably be somethign good for him to focus on and to help him stay sober....but until then, i think he has a few more hurdles to get over first.
