This sounds weird but when I was in college, I minored in biology and did a project on nutrition. I discovered that the ketogenic diet could be a potential treatment for mental illnesses and in particular, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders.

Ketogenic Diet Potential Treatment For Psychosis

It sounds like BS/"snake oil" but there does seem to be evidence from reputable sources like the National Institutes of Health and a Harvard doctor (Dr. Chris Palmer). It got me thinking, if it can put psychosis from schizophrenia in remission, I was wondering if it could also prevent drug-induced psychosis from amphetamines or at least reduce the severity of it.

I've taken illicit and pharmaceutical amphetamines (Dexedrine, Adderall, Vyvanse, meth from the dark web) and never experienced any psychosis though I also ensured that I always took a low dose and had enough sedatives to sleep after 15-20 hours.

Diet will always affect things (and that's an understatement sometimes) but I don't think any diet is gonna get in the way of the almighty stimulant psychosis

OP - you haven't experienced it because you've been sensible with dose and duration (keep doing that if you still indulge)

Yeah it requires some serious negligence to experience stimulant psychosis, usually either overdose and/or skipped nights. Just think of all the ADHD folks on prescription stimulants. But I am curious about ketogenic diet as well, I heard it can help with some otherwise uncontrolled seizures for example.
