Opioids would taking only 10mg hydrocodone after going through norco withdrawal set me back?

hey all. I ran out of my usual supply of norco a while back and stopped cold turkey. My tolerance was only like 20mg, but I used everyday and could not stand any day without it. Went thorough some physical withdrawal symptoms, still going through the psychological. It's been about 2-3 weeks and I still feel like I'm going crazy but it's getting gradually better. (Granted I've been using the aid of xanax which I'm worried I might be getting too attached to). Don't know when my next supply of norco will be but just found 1 10mg pill lying around. Since I haven't had any opiates in like 2 weeks I figure my tolerance should be where I'd feel at least some buzz off it. But I'm not sure if using it will just completely reset the progression of my psychological recovery. The depression I've had without them is pretty bad, I've literally called hotlines from feeling suicidal.

I don't know how much longer I have to wait for my next batch, and that's essentially my problem. They're only taken recreationally, not for pain. But I think I'm going to have to start rationing them even when I do, and that just sounds like torture tbh.

From my experience, there is no "only" with opiates. Maybe only 10mg today, but it plants a new seed, teasing you. If you are serious about not getting addicted again, then yes, it will set you back big time.

Especially psychologically.

Hydrocodone is the same thing as Norco. Will it satisfy your craving, yes. Will it set you back? Hard to say ... that only depends on if you will do one and one only.

Thing to remember is...we are all different with our tolerance, how our bodies/brain chemistry reacts after going through withdrawal and using again.

It won't be helpful, imo. I'm judging according to the way I function. Most addicts function this way too. Two weeks of sobriety is still a very fragile state of mind. If I use once during such short period of being clean I'll be looking for more as soon as the effects start wearing off. Basically, I'm going for a ride again. If it is your goal to stay clean, taking it will be a very big set back.
