Would pepto bismol potentiate amphetamines similar to tums and sodium bicarbonate?

I usually take tums before taking my daily adderall IR, but I'm currently out of them and have no money to get more. I DO have pepto bismol though, which is also an antacid. Would it "basify" my stomach like tums/baking soda would?

No, I don't think that would work. Tums works by neutralizing stomach acid, but Pepto works by coating the lining of your stomach. If anything, Pepto would slow down absorption which would lessen the effect on you
