I found this today, in the bottom of my closet..I'd just like to share....
Would It be too much to ask if I stayed a little while?
I'm just looking to be held like a mother's precious child
Would it be too much to ask if you took me out with your friends?
You say the guys have manly rules that true men never bend.
Would it be too much to ask to sit here, but just talk?
You call me here, we get it on, you climb off then you walk.
Would it be too much to ask for you to cherish me?
I've been here when she made you cry, the same thing you do, you see.
Would it be too much to ask to simply understand?
My emotions are not a puppet game to foolishly be played with by hand.
Would it be too much to ask to be happy maybe someday?
I guess soon fate will decide but for now I'll simply say.....
Would it be too much to ask to not have wasted the past year?
To have you here, in my arms, to wipe away my tears......
