I don't agree with this. Heroin vs. oxy is just personal preference, but there are major differences between being hooked on heroin & opiate pharmaceuticals like oxycodone. The main differences are....
(1) price- heroin is much cheaper, in the beginning. I don't know how much oxycodone you're doing, but sure, when you first try dope, you can get a bundle for the price of 2 roxi's, and depending on your tolerance a bundle can get you off for a couple of days. But wait a while, and sure as shit, you'll start needing bricks just to get through a couple days. The lower price seems like an incentive, but it's really just an illusion. You will wind up spending just as much on dope, if not more, as you spend on oxy. You'll probably just get much much more seriously addicted at first, because it's so much cheaper. And then you're in not just the world of shit that is oxycodone addiction, but the fucking multiverse of unthinkably awful shit that is heroin addiction.
(2) purity- everytime you buy an oxycodone pill, you know how much is in the pill. Fake pressed pills are relatively rare, especially if you have a trusted, consistent source. You can control the dose, and you know the purity. You know that the only active ingredient is oxycodone. With heroin, there are no guarantees. Every bag you buy is a bag of unknowns. You are basically trusting random strangers to hand you a bunch of random powder in a small bag. And all you can do is control your dose, and hope it won't kill you. You also do not know what the heroin is cut with. You could get a batch laced with fentanyl, 50x potent as morphine, and OD instantly. You have very little control with heroin, though there are things you can do to make it a little safer. When I used to use heroin the anxiety of not knowing whether I'd od with every bag was just too much. A big reason I always preferred pharms like Opanas, Dilaudids and my mainstay, oxy.
(3) quality- the quality varies widely. You might get some bags of garbage, and then get some fire bags. Do a small line of some fire and you're gone. Dead. That's the end of the road. I'm sorry if it sounds harsh but that's the reality of heroin addiction. These are the risks heroin addicts take not just every day, but multiple times every day. Do you really want to entrust some random dope pusher with your life? It's not worth it. Not to mention, even if you don't OD, there's a high probability you will get arrested, wind up in jail, or destroy all your relationships and just, simply put, fuck your life.
For these reasons, ESPECIALLY the fact you are addicted to oxycodone, I would STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DO NOT DO HEROIN. I'm tired of seeing people die, whether I know them or not. I'm tired of seeing people die simply because the government shoves opiate addicts onto the streets, where they're at the mercy of criminals pushing unregulated, impure, often dangerous products. If you're curious about other opiates I would suggest trying to source some Opana or Dilaudid. They are both more sedating than oxycodone and can provide a different high without many of the risks of heroin.
IF however you do, despite everything I and others have said, decide to try heroin, remember these bits of advice:
(1) TEST BUMPS/SHOTS ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND. They will save your life. EVERY bag you do- do a very small bump. About half the size of a match head. Maybe even less. You NEVER KNOW what you are getting when you are doing heroin. It is not FDA regulated, not pharmaceutical grade, it is cut to shit many times and the people pushing don't give A FUCK whether you live or die, cause sadly there are thousands more addicts waiting to take your place the instant you hit the casket.
(2) There are 3 types of addicts, ime & imo. The cautious addict, the lucky addict & the dead addict. The lucky addict and the dead addict have the most in common. The only thing separating a heroin user from death is luck, alotta the time. The cautious heroin addict can do things to mitigate the risk, but as your desperation grows, you will find that very difficult, as I and others did. Be cautious, stay paranoid, and stay alive. But really, if you wanna live, and live a healthy, full life, your best bet is to stay far the fuck away from dope.
If you go to any treatment center, any detox, and ask the heroin addicts 1 thing they wish they did, I guarantee you will get an almost uniform response. Many will say they wish they cleaned up before they switched to dope. You have a choice, and an opportunity to change here. Or, at least, not die; or at the very least fuck yourself up far worse than you already are.
Sorry if this has been too long or too didactic. I couldn't sleep, got blueballed on a date when I found out, 2 hours into the thing, the girl has a boyfriend (surprise!), and felt like venting and maybe, maybe, helping someone stay off heroin. Anyways, I hope something I said sticks.
