It's neither the greater or lesser evil. I see them as equally destructive. Alcohol will kill you much more quickly.
Need to be honest with yourself and to recognize this is really just trying to rationalize your use (which is normal).
I'm an alcoholic, but started with hard drugs. I switched to alcohol because I saw it as the less destructive drug, but I was dead wrong. It goes both ways.
Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic.
If you were forced to quit meth, you would almost certainly start drinking again. From that perspective, you're still drinking.
