Would an Actone Pill Wash separate MDMA from Methylone/Methadrone ?

Hi all, unfortunately pills seem to be diminishing in quality rapidly in my neck of the woods. Methylone/Methadrone seem to be replacing amepths/caffeine as the main adulterants and it's near impossible to get pure MD. The people responsible for this are complete scum imo as both are pretty dangerous. My question is would an actone pill washing procedure remove the stated adulterants from the MDMA ? Any help would be appreciated

Those substances would all exhibit very similar solubilities in pretty much all solvents so another method would need to be used to separate them, although I'm not to sure how it would be done.
My guess though is that it would not be anything that could be done by kitchen chemistry

and just for semantics, it's spelled mephedrone. Methedrone is BK-PMMA, completely different chemical.

The boiling point of MDMA (around 150C or so) is sufficiently far from methylone (at least if a forum post of around 226-228C that I found is accurate). Therefore I wonder if a fairly simple distillation would be enough to separate the substances. If so, this would not be "kitchen chemistry" per se at all. But it would not be a complex setup per se either, probably doable in a home lab. I'm guessing you would need a less common solvent with a boiling point between MDMA and methylone for what I'm thinking to work (DMSO with its boiling point at 189C is a possibility). I'm thinking distillation with that would leave the solids (higher boiling point stuff like methylone or methamphetamine) behind, and the distilled DMSO would still contain MDMA. Then you would need to perform the same recrystallization you do for purification, of course...

Probably missing several considerations, though, as I'm not an organic chemist.

All of this is theoretical, though. MDMA *plus* methylone is not a common combination. (MDMA plus methamphetamine is more common of course.)

Anything whose full chemical name ends in -amphetamine will not be separated out by an acetone wash.

This talks about steam distillation to separate a mixture of methamp, amp and ephedrine, which is kind of analogous, amphetamine base is more volatile than ephedrine base, so MDMA base is probably more volatile than methylone base, but that's an educated guess. I live in the UK and I don't think cathinones are passed of as Ecstasy all that much, much less than in the states, all the pills and crystal I've had this year have been very good.
