Would 30mg temazepam and some cigars be a good experience for a drug-naive person?

For someone that doesn't drink, doesn't smoke weed, and doesn't take anything, do you think taking 30mg temazepam and smoking some cigars would be a good experience? Is 30mg a good first dose? And lastly, do temazepam and nicotine go well together (what specifically can be expected from this "combo")?

For a drug-naïve person, 30 mg may be too much to start with. Try 7.5 to 15 mg and see how that feels. Forget the tobacco, it will not enhance your experience and especially cigars would probably make you vomit.
 
ive heard that nicotine can dampen the effect of benzos, but it is probably a very subtle interaction.

have you smoked cigars before? i smoked cigs on and off for like 5 years and i will never touch a cigar, they taste nasty!

personally, i would do 15mg temaz, 1 beer, rolled cigarettes and 100mg codeine [soft opiate] (cold water extracted, you will get liver ulcers if you consume too much paracetamol or ibuprofen). oh i would also have a few puffs of a joint.

if you are drug naive. my suggestion would be 15-30mg temazepam and a few hits of nice weed.

weed and benzos is a good mix basically.

just don't take benzos with any regularity, its one of the worst drug habits imagineable.

feel free to ignore the combo i said i would do, you would probably pass out and forget everything you did if you tried it. i also think its a bad idea for some people to start using drugs recreationally tbh, but thats just my opinion.

Temazepam is a boring drug, even at 30 mgs. Which isn't all that strong of a dose, pretty standard for insomnia really...

It's OK if you want to feel relaxed and then go to sleep, but that's about it.

IMO cigars are gross and I've never seen the appeal in them. Cigarettes are gross too ;)
 
the world would be a better place if you could buy smaller amounts of cigs, the thing i dislike about them is the commitment to smoking another 100 cigs when i buy a pouch (all taylor cig types make me sick)

id rather buy 1 rollie a fortnight

thats probably a rationalisation for wanting to continue smoking though, i just feel guilty bumming off friends at the pub
 
I smoked for six years or so, starting when I was 17. It got to the point where I just wasn't getting a nicotine buzz anymore from smoking so I quit.

I returned to it a few times, casually, just bumming cigarettes from people here and there, and I'd get the buzz again. But lately I've tried a few drags on a couple different occasions and I've just felt vaguely sick and "dirty", with no enjoyment at all...the taste of cigarettes disgusts me now. It's probably a really good thing that I have 0 desire to go back to smoking, one less addiction to worry about...

I went through a rollie phase at one point, though. My favorite brand was Drum.
 
Thanks for the help people. I should have clarified a few things however. This person (which isn't me, read my other posts I'm perfectly honest) and I enjoy smoking cigars. We smoke them somewhat regularly, and enjoy the taste and experience of them. I should have clarified that this person likes to smoke cigars, not smoke other things. No cigarettes, no weed, literally no other drugs.

Do you still think between 15-30mg temaze would pair badly with a cigar? The cigar by itself is quite enjoyable to both of us, so throwing up isn't an issue. I'm more concerned about the nicotine and the temaze interacting in an enjoyable manner. If the buzz is dampened, will something else be gained from the experience?
 
when i'm on a benzo i don't really think to myself, "if i had a cig right now this would be so much better", they aren't really a great pair together.

i guess it can't hurt to try, i just have doubts as to whether its a good time smoking a cigar on temazepam

Nicotine reduces the effects of some, if not all benzos. Smoking cigars may be pleasurable in itself to counteract that (which is probably why some people enjoy cigarettes on Xanax when pharmacologically speaking they shouldn't), but if this is a person who doesn't even smoke, cigars may even be unpleasantly strong in their own right.

As for dosing in general... It varies a lot from person to person. Some people are very sensitive and will immediately feel heavy and drugged with even therapeutic doses (and 30 is most certainly a therapeutic, rather than recreational dose) while others, if they don't suffer from some sort of ailment that benzos alleviate - anxiety, insomnia, muscle strains or something - might not notice anything.

In other words, he/she might fall asleep, feel relaxed, or not feel a god damn thing.
 
I read once that heavy smokers could have a small interaction with benzodiazepines, that was actually written in a Valium script.
I believe the influence may be so minimal that only a very sensitive person would feel, and not so much.

Temazepam is just for going to sleep after you've done some fun drugs (stimulants, psychedelics...). If you haven't had benzos before it will likely just send you to sleep.

Forget the benzos & cigar, just get some weed.
 
I find temazepam to be one of the more enjoyable benzos because it goes into the hypnotic realm.

I think a pill of temazepam and a fine cigar sounds like a nice, relaxing experience. Go for it.

I am not the person in question! I am literally talking about my friend here. I personally have much more experience and tolerance to certain things. I figured that when we're hanging out, it would just be an enjoyable experience for him.
