long lasting comedown?
A week ago I took half a pill of ecstasy (probably about 100mg of mdma) at a party. I didn't feel the comeup as intense as a usual do (I have panicked before as well) and didn't think it was having much effect 1.5 hours later. I then took a small dab of what I think was pure mdma (has not been tested yet) on my pinky. An hour later I felt a gradual high that was very nice. Throughout the night I took two more small dabs on my pinky of the same mdma. I was very happy but not "tripping" and very much in control. I was drinking a lot of water throughout the night as well. (Also as a side note I had probably two drinks a few hours before taking anything).
About four or five hours later the party ended and I went home although was still high. I took 100mg of 5htp and a melatonin to help sleep. Then things got bad... I wasn't able to sleep one minute the entire night, I kept moving around I was so restless, I had to get up and pee at least fifteen times in the night (there was lots of liquid coming out). My body then began to feel paralyzed and I kept pinching my arms and legs to make sure I wasnt. This started giving me lots of anxiety as well. My temperature would go from chills to sweating. It also felt like my blood circulation was bad and my legs and arms would feel numb like they were asleep (tingling sensation as well at times). My heart seemed irregular and would beat very fast as well (this may have been due to panic attacks). The worst was the numbness from my body and I really thought I was going to become paralyzed!
The next 24 hours weren't much better. My temperature seemed to change throughout the day, my body felt numb and almost paralyzed when I lay down and I only slept 1-2 hours of anxious sleep. I was still getting up to pee constantly but also trying to stay hydrated at the same time (it felt like the liquid was just going right through me). I managed to eat some yogurt and a banana. I also noticed my pupils were still dilated somewhat and thought that maybe a was still high. Whenever I stood up I was extremely dizzy and my heart would race but then it would go away.
Fast forward a week later, and although I've improved in the last week it seems to be at a very slow rate. I no longer feel this strong sense of being paralyzed when laying down, my hands have stopped shaking constantly, I can make myself eat proper meals and keep them down, I am able to go on walks (jogging still seems a bit hard), I am drinking fluids all day and taking vitamins, my pupils are no longer dilated, my heart is no longer racing constantly and I can hold a decent conversation.
And this is where I ask what you think happened... Serotonin syndrome? Or my body couldn't handle the drugs? Or something unknown in the mdma had a horrible reaction?
I went to the doctor immediately who wasn't much help. He said I had a bad reaction and need to wait it out. It's been a week already and still have lingering problems!
I am a 22 year old male who is in great health and who is a pretty happy guy usually. I am a professional dancer and in excellent condition.
I tried to return to work three days ago but when I started dancing I got very dizzy and felt very out of my body (possible depersonalization?). I had to go home after only 30 minutes there.
Every day now I have been going outside to walk for an hour or more... I have a sort of numbness in my own body still and my vision does still feel off. I tried a little bit of light jogging yesterday and it sent my heart pounding again.
I can say that I have been eating thee meals a day however I never actually feel "hungry". It's more like eating just to eat. My body feels exhausted but I find it's hard to get to sleep at night. When I close my eyes I get this feeling of vertigo or falling sensation. It makes it very hard to actually get to sleep! I'm sleeping on average so far 7 hours of sleep with very vivid almost panicked dreams. I take melatonin at night to help as well. Throughout the day I have none of the motivation I used to and anxiety comes and goes (sometimes being severe) as well as I would say a constant depression.
Is this because my serotonin levels are depleted? Are my chemicals all out of balance?
Another side note is my digestion after eating is not the same. My stomach is making lots of noise! I am going to bathroom normal though. And have not been nauseous once. I have this feeling like I will never be myself again! I have read sometimes it can take longer than people would like to get back on track. I might have also developed some kind of anxiety disorder through this? I didnt have much before. I definitely think I have some
Hypochondria though.
I must also point out that I get pressure in my head as well and my ears feel stuffy.
I am definitely experiencing sexual dysfunction as well which is not like me.
I may be one of these people who are in for a long term comedown... I'm not sure.
I know I can't go back to work because I'm too out of it still and need to be in top shape to return.
Any suggestion? Comments? Tips?
Thank you.
